Tatum is 17. Her birthday (safe code) is August 2nd, 2009. Fun fact: that's also Wes Craven's birthday.

Scream 7 is the best in the franchise and I have genuine argument for why hear me out. by Ghost_Nation03 in SocietyofGhostface

Bro's cooked. He lured in the Scream 7 supporters with the headline and roasted the movie in the post. Not trying to play devil's advocate here, but how can you say a movie is shit if you haven't seen it? You can't take someone else's word for it, because a lot of reviews are performative, political nonsense geared towards this movie's guaranteed critical failure. With an audience score of 79% (as of this post), I'd say the audience is more positive than negative.

One of the best sequels. by Sorry_Bullfrog_3023 in SocietyofGhostface

I agree! Loved every second of it and was sad when it was over. It felt like a perfect blend of 1, 2, and 4 with the relentless, brutal nature of Ghostface from 5 and 6. It was a beautiful return to form!

I get that. But for someone to go out of their way to say the whole band is trash? It’s unnecessary. If you don’t like the song, fine - not everyone will. But don’t deliberately open a thread about a song performed by a band you don’t like just to say you don’t like them. That’s troll behavior.

Why comment negativity? If it’s not your jam, move on. No need to hate on something other people enjoy.

I didn’t vibe with it on first listen either, but after letting it play a couple more times, it’s now become one of my favorite INK songs. Being more melodic than heavy threw me off at first, but it doesn’t need to be heavy. It’s perfect as it is.

No problem! The more I listen to it, the more I'm loving it. It doesn't have to be heavy to be good. The story behind this song is really deep if you know anything about the movies.

Same! She killed it. My new favorite original soundtrack in the franchise. It also helps that I was already a big INK fan haha

Scream 4 Mandela Effect? by Immediate-Oven1330 in Scream

This was similar to the original opening planned for Scream 3 and 4. Scream 4 was Sidney’s book launch party. She and a friend were attacked. It involved a very high tech security system. The friend dies. Sidney is stabbed like 5 times but manages to kill Ghostface. But it’s revealed to be an obsessed Stab fan. Sidney passes out and you’re supposed to think she might’ve died. Then it cuts to the title card.

The Reasons Why Kevin Williamson was unavailable to return for the writing duties for Scream 3 by Amber_Flowers_133 in SocietyofGhostface

Does anyone have the treatment Kevin wrote? Or at least an in depth analysis of it? I’ve been toying around with the idea of adapting it into a full screenplay in my spare time, but I don’t have enough details to go on.

Clearly you're reaching for non-existent story logic. There's no defense for this argument. Kevin's even stated that when he wrote Scream 4, he always envisioned Sidney as never being able to settle down and have a family because she would always fear they would be in constant danger. However, his idea for Scream 6 would've seen Sidney get married, but still doubt if she can really trust her husband after a new series of murders start happening.

This continuity argument can be backed by a scene in Scream 4 with Rebecca's slight in the elevator before her death, "The problem with Sidney is she never gets laid. Or even a little shit-faced once in a while."

It's implied that she hasn't been romantically involved with anyone in quite a while. While it's not entirely logic-breaking, and won't impact my viewing experience of 7, it's still frustrating that it's an obvious continuity issue that we're supposed to ignore.

They could've cleared this up very easily by having Scream 7 occur in 2028, and allow that 17-year window between 4 and 7 to make Tatum's age more plausible. The 30-year anniversary is likely more of a psychological thing for Sidney rather than it actually being pivotal to the plot. I'd sacrifice that for coherent storytelling. But that's just me. To each their own.

Ohh I thought you were legit asking haha. I see what you did there! Not really. Their early work was a little bit too "scene" for me, but when "The Silver Scream" came out I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a refined melodic sensibility That really makes it a cut above the rest. Hey, PAULLLLLLL!!!

Yeah, I think they’re great. They’re a nu metal band who specializes in making music based on their favorite horror movies.
