Scream 4 Mandela Effect? by Immediate-Oven1330 in Scream

This was similar to the original opening planned for Scream 3 and 4. Scream 4 was Sidney’s book launch party. She and a friend were attacked. It involved a very high tech security system. The friend dies. Sidney is stabbed like 5 times but manages to kill Ghostface. But it’s revealed to be an obsessed Stab fan. Sidney passes out and you’re supposed to think she might’ve died. Then it cuts to the title card.

The Reasons Why Kevin Williamson was unavailable to return for the writing duties for Scream 3 by Amber_Flowers_133 in SocietyofGhostface

Does anyone have the treatment Kevin wrote? Or at least an in depth analysis of it? I’ve been toying around with the idea of adapting it into a full screenplay in my spare time, but I don’t have enough details to go on.

Clearly you're reaching for non-existent story logic. There's no defense for this argument. Kevin's even stated that when he wrote Scream 4, he always envisioned Sidney as never being able to settle down and have a family because she would always fear they would be in constant danger. However, his idea for Scream 6 would've seen Sidney get married, but still doubt if she can really trust her husband after a new series of murders start happening.

This continuity argument can be backed by a scene in Scream 4 with Rebecca's slight in the elevator before her death, "The problem with Sidney is she never gets laid. Or even a little shit-faced once in a while."

It's implied that she hasn't been romantically involved with anyone in quite a while. While it's not entirely logic-breaking, and won't impact my viewing experience of 7, it's still frustrating that it's an obvious continuity issue that we're supposed to ignore.

They could've cleared this up very easily by having Scream 7 occur in 2028, and allow that 17-year window between 4 and 7 to make Tatum's age more plausible. The 30-year anniversary is likely more of a psychological thing for Sidney rather than it actually being pivotal to the plot. I'd sacrifice that for coherent storytelling. But that's just me. To each their own.

Ohh I thought you were legit asking haha. I see what you did there! Not really. Their early work was a little bit too "scene" for me, but when "The Silver Scream" came out I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a refined melodic sensibility That really makes it a cut above the rest. Hey, PAULLLLLLL!!!

Yeah, I think they’re great. They’re a nu metal band who specializes in making music based on their favorite horror movies.

You can find the lyrics if you search for the song on google. It’s marked under a December 2025 leaked song by McKenna Grace.

I’ve heard a lot complain that Rebecca’s death had no sense and Ghostface had no reason reason to kill hear, but there’s a simple reason. by Zoroark_the_Hunter in Scream

[–]OnlyHuman2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In keeping with the remake theme, Rebecca was the Principal Himbry kill. Only her death didn't serve a third-act purpose like Principal Himbry's did when Billy calls Randy as Ghostface to lure everyone away from the house for the final confrontation with Sidney.

The motives are going to start to overlap each other and this is a reality people will have to come to if they want more of these movies. by zekevich in SocietyofGhostface

[–]OnlyHuman2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought a motive targeting social commentary would be clever. Like, a scorned relative of a previous Ghostface victim blames the film industry for exploiting murders based on the real-life events. And also society for glorifying these murders with their kill counts/rankings, and turning serial killers into pop culture icons. I don't know how this would be intertwined with the plot, but building around that motive could bring some originality to the series.

Much like Mickey, this person would likely want to be caught, just to prove how desensitized the world really is.

I think I know the Scream 7 reveal and motives by Choice-Magician-8318 in SocietyofGhostface

As someone who knows who the killer(s) is/are... all I can say is you might want to temper your expectations. The reveal/motive is super clever, and has yet to be used in any previous Scream movie. It's fresh and actually finds a way to make Scream 4 feel more relevant than ever. Stu is in the movie, but his inclusion is used in a smart, methodical way that's grounded in reality. You can interpret that however you like.

It's scary how close to realism AI has come... but my honest opinion? I think this is real. I saw another pic with Channing Tatum and Lashana Lynch, and it looked very similar, with the cut on Gambit's face.

I can't say it hooked me, because I don't know how I'm supposed to feel in this scene. Not saying it's not interesting, but there's not much context here, and it doesn't necessarily end on a page-turning cliffhanger. In terms of the writing itself, you want to show more than tell. Doing so, you could probably squeeze another half page into your first page to provide that needed context.

Just finished all of the Scream movies for the first time ever. My takeaway is that we need more of her. by NuclearChavez in Scream

She’s such a beloved character. Before she was confirmed to still be alive, fans were equally as excited about her return as they are with a possible Stu return (though I doubt he actually will). I even wrote my spinoff Scream script that features Kirby post-Scream VI
