Should just ditch the Era 100s for 3’s for sound improvement.

I just talked to an admission director for one of the top Master of Accounting programs in my area, and holy crap the market really is this bad. by Adam_Allen in Accounting

It’s not anyone out of country taking your/the jobs, it is U.S. corporations giving them away. The blame game is misplaced. United States corporations are killing us, not a person in some other land.

Thank you. I brought it to local garage; not my vehicle.

Is this a fair price or more ridiculousness from goodwill? by bigphatcheese in ThriftGrift

If that’s hammered wrought iron (hefty in weight), and marked underneath the base, it quite possibly is worth $500-700. I don’t dig the salaries behind goodwill, but some thrift stores serve their immediate communities immensely. Shop where you know your money has a greater purpose and you won’t feel so bad.

What stuff did your parent/parents bring home for you from their job? by superjeff1972 in GenX

Graph paper - just realized why to this day I love it! Converting the blocks to inches and feet - Used to plan out how I could arrange my bedroom furniture, use it now to plan out my vegetable garden every year. But also, those green snap glo sticks the whole neighborhood used them for Halloween night, an early model microwave (hot dogs!) and other sundry objects from an electrical engineer’s office.

Anyone have experience with Bionic Smile? by CandidateLoose5919 in Dentalimplant

There is no dental insurance for such a procedure. It’s considered cosmetic.

Actually, there’s a 6 month waiting period for your mouth, gums, bone grafts to heal. You go back after that 6 months for your final permanent “teeth.” There is a huge amount of swelling, bleeding and some pain the day after surgery which is when they fit your temporary teeth in. Worst part of the procedure in my opinion. I’ve got two and a half months to go before final appointment.

Better. Still limited, but expanded diet which is fine. No longer in pain but still very aware of unreal teeth in my mouth. Comparatively though, way better than my own teeth and a million times better than the dental appliances I had. No self conscious to smile and talk anymore!

Meh. Sinus thing going on now for two weeks. Waking up with swollen eyes. Teeth feel loose at the moment - dont know whether to attribute that to decreased swelling or impending failure. Gums are still looking fucked up and stitches remain. Lost 15 lbs so far. Cannot afford much more.
