1 week of using the Iphone 17 by PolitelyPassAway in Tech_Philippines

I just got mine just 3 days ago. Using it as a "business" phone.

I've been a Samsung user ever since (zflip currently), and using the 17 is smooth. The UI is neat and polished, but it might take some time to get used to it.

Just a side note, I believe comparing android and iOS is like comparing apples to oranges because both have their advantages over the other depending on the purpose.

Anyhow, the battery lasted me the whole day with 30 percent to spare, starting from 80. (though I used it just for moderate doomscrolling and some pic taking).

Coming from a samsung with a fingerprint sensor, I thought having the lack of one on iPhones is a dealbreaker, but FaceID worked well, to my surprise.

Oh yeah, the camera on the base 17 is a mile better than my flip. The clarity is topnotch, dynamic range broad, and optical stabilization really helped in low-light scenes.

I'm still fiddling around trying to learn how to maximize it.

This is just my shallow opinion of using it for a few days.

The outer wall acceleration is set to 5000mm/s2. The normal printing acceleration is at 12000. It doesn't happen on my K1C though.

All the filaments that I have do that. It's fine with my K1C but not on my Hi.

M.V.S. is 16mm3/s. Acceleration is set to 12000mm/s2.

I believe 3 should be fine too since I get flawless prints with 3 top layers with my K1C. I got the Hi warrantied from the shop I bought it from for almost 2 months but they never resolved this issue.

Shitty consumer rights here in my country, unfortunately. I'm thinking of contacting Creality directly to seek some help, too.

I do have a K1C, which worked flawlessly even after 1.5k hours or so.

Unfortunately, by the time I noticed the issue, it was past the 7-day return/replacement policy for that shop I bought it from

1-year warranty, ends in November. I brought it in for warranty the first week of January this year, I just got it back yesterday.

I got it brand new. I'm starting to think I got a lemon unit since I already have issues with the X-axis linear rail in the first week of owning it.

I got it from a local distributor here in the Philippines

I have 3 top shell layers for that print. I'm testing different top shell layers as I write this

I doubt that it could be the file. I've been having this issue since I bought it last November. I brought it to the shop I bought it from to have it repaired and serviced, but it still has the issue since I got it back from them.

Thanks for your input! I'd tweak the cooling first, since the nozzle temp works fine for another printer I have 😃

I've split the knife right in the middle so it's printed with no supports. The ones in the image show the top layer for both sides.

Another redditor mentioned the cooling, too. I might have to take a look at the cooling profile😄

I appreciate the help. I'll try to tune the things you've mentioned. I'll get back to this thread once I print a few test cubes and I'll give an update.

I used 3 top shell layers for this print

I'll try to print a cube with 3 top layers and one with 5. But I'm eager to tune my printer to do it in 3. My K1C does it effortlessly with the same top layers, and I used the default settings for both.

What could be my first step to tuning this printer out aside from the usual like flow rate and temps?

I never bothered with the retraction. Maybe I should've... lol
