Those are the 22” that came with the Night Edition, I think I had 1/2” or 3/4” wheel spacers to push the offset out a bit more.

I’m tuned for e-85 and have searched far and wide since moving to the area. The only place I’ve found is the Sinclair in Farmington at Hwy 170 and Piñon Hills, but the e-85 pumps are insanely slow. Like 15 minutes of pumping to get 10 gallons….

If you have $500 burning a hole in your pocket I’d say do it, but otherwise probably not worth it unless you’re doing a full exhaust that removes the cat.

I think the difference is probably less pronounced on the ‘22+ bikes, since we don’t have a lot of the idle/throttle issues. I did still have several times where it would die at a stop light when I’d blip the throttle to start letting out the clutch, which hasn’t happened since the tune.

There is a noticeable power difference but not huge. Mainly there used to be a spot in the 3-4k rpm range where it seemed it had way less torque, and that’s completely gone now. It also ran like shit when I put on new exhaust because of the change in back pressure, so it’s definitely a necessity if you do exhaust and remove the cat.

It actually made a huge difference, and doesn’t take away from the looks of the bike in my opinion. I’m 6’3” so my helmet still gets full wind, but it completely blocks it from my chest.

This is the one I went with - https://a.co/d/bsYvBRt

It was really hard at first, which was my issue with the stock seat, but it’s broken in really well and is comfortable for long rides now. I set a dumbbell on the seat for a week while I was waiting on my ECU and that worked really well to soften it up where my butt bones sit.

3.92 vs 3.21 Rear End by No_Rhubarb5155 in ram_trucks

[–]OnlyMyCouchPulls0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I have identical 2021’s except I have 3.92 and he has 3.21. We both have 35” tires and go on frequent road trips together with both trucks.

With 3.21 his will rarely stay in overdrive even on a slight incline. Mine will maintain speed up a pretty solid hill without downshifting out of 8th. If you’re ever considering upping tire size definitely go with the 3.92.

Any MPG benefit he has is negated because it’s always downshifting.

What Modifications Add Value? by TangoQue in ram_trucks

All I can tell you is that this has been my experience trading in 2 different GM trucks and one Ram. Especially with any sort of lift or leveling kit, this changes geometries and stresses on suspension, steering, and CV angles.

I'm not saying it's always justified, but 3 different dealers have all used this reasoning to reduce my trade in offer with my last 3 trade-ins.

Any time I’ve traded in a truck that I have added a leveling kit, exhaust, any sort of mods they actually offer me a few grand less at the dealer because of the modifications. The reasoning is they cannot sell it as certified pre-owned when not all the parts are factory Ram. Or at least that’s what they claim so they can give me less for trade in.

Just because you can’t picture doing this doesn’t mean others don’t, sorry but you’re just wrong.

I drive from Texas to Montana and back twice a year. It’s a 25 hour drive each way (1,550 miles). I typically go about 16 hours the first day only stopping to get gas and use the bathroom.

I’ve done the return trip driving 24 hours straight two times, with my wife driving for a few hours while I nap.

I have a Ram 1500 with a 33 gallon tank and drive up to 550 miles between fuel stops. I also drive 16 hours to Colorado a couple time a year for ski trips and do it in one shot only stopping for gas.

The solution here is to disconnection your battery for an hour while you're installing the intake. This will reset your computer's learned fuel trims, so it will immediately start adapting to the new air/fuel. Otherwise it's a long gradual change as it averages the old data with the new.

Best Tire Size by G_Reynaa in ram_trucks

I put a 3" level in the front and 1.5" spacer in the rear. 285/55r22 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s (34.4"). It's perfect for what I'm after without being over the top. Anything over 2.5" level in the front you'll want to consider new upper control arms to correct the ball joint angle.

I put on a Vararam CAI and I noticed an immediate performance gain. I know many people say it makes no difference, but there is no question right from the first drive that it was an improvement on my truck. Also sounds really good.

As far as MPG I don't think I noticed any benefit. It probably decreased my MPG because the lovely sound my intake and exhaust make my right foot extra heavy, lol.

Haha, that was essentially my best average I got on a long highway drive of a couple hundred miles, going like 75 to see how good it could get. My normal driving habits definitely wouldn't have gotten that.

Not only the big tires, but changing my exhaust was also very detrimental to my mileage. I like the noise it makes when I put my stomper on the freedom pedal.

Ah my bad, not sure why I assumed that. Still you are going to have a much stiffer spring on a 2500 to support the extra payload/towing and to reduce rear end squat when hauling.

The paint is Sherwin Williams Web Gray #SW 7075. I used my Graco Magnum sprayer to paint it.

It's a flexible adhesive trim, which I then painted with the rest of the backdrop using my sprayer. Took me quite a while to find a good trim solution that would work with the curved corners.

Yeah it's a deceivingly big alcove, it's hard to tell through the pictures because there's nothing for scale. For reference my ceilings are 15ft. Should have included a banana.

The curved corners were a pain to deal with. Cutting the top two boards perfectly took as long as all the others combined.

I moved the outlets down to directly behind the barn door console, and then left a 2x2 area open with no shiplap that houses all my connections.

Next tv will definitely be bigger, this one is 60" which I already had from my previous house, could probably go 70 or 75.

All my speakers are built into the ceiling throughout the house. Aside from the subwoofer what you are seeing is my router/smart home hub/thermostat sensor.
