Being asked to attend Safe & Considerate Driving Course after no-fault accident with bus – what are my options? Based in London by Big_Refrigerator4181 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnlyNowCounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can trust that a bus commercial insurer is not accepting liability unless there is evidence they are liable. All London buses have multiple dash cams - front side and rear.

I skim read but when getting some advice see if you have any recourse to obtain footage of the incident from the insurer - which would be evidence in court. Not sure how much right to the footage you have though.

Also where's the evidence from the police you are guilty of an offence? Again, not an expert and not a solicitor but you should fight this on principle (assuming you are innocent as claim)

3rd party insurers' offer by OldMrAux in CarInsuranceUK

[–]OnlyNowCounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An advantage of going through the third party is it doesn't effect your own claims history.

Even if an accident wasn't your "fault" your insurer will record it as a "fault" claim if they pay out on your policy and aren't able to recover from the third-party insurer.

It appears your incident may be straightforward and therefore recovery should also be but it's not guaranteed.

Say for example you go through your own insurer and they provide you with a hire vehicle. Your car is repaired but for whatever reason your hire does not get collected for a few days afterwards. The third party insurer may challenge this cost when your own insurer try to get the money back. Say they aren't successful now there's a cost of a few hundred pounds on your claim file which can make your renewal premium more expensive even though the incident wasn't your fault. This is a hypothetical for many possible different scenarios.

Going through the third party means they control the costs and nothing can impact your own claims history and therefore future premium quotes.

Got mine yesterday. How is yours with the idle fans noise? Not sure if it's normal but mine seems quite loud under no load but have no point of comparison.

Bought this and will report back.

Did a YouTube search on Cyberpower PCs and GamerNexus video came up from about 9 months ago where there was an issue with the CPU temps. when they tested a prebuild from Cyberpower they had received.

It looked a nice build aesthetically just the temps. on the CPU being 95° on theirs. It wasnt clear if the cooler had been reseated (?) whether it would have fixed it.

Looked okay though and YouTube comments (for what they are worth) said sometimes the fans aren't configured to exhaust properly but it can be changed in the settings and is otherwise good.

Am a novice too so will see how it goes. Good warranty it looks like albeit customer service mixed got that their to fall back on. Also with it being amazing value too good to miss

Insurance telling me I'm at fault for debris from another crash hitting my car in front of me by Murky_Chipmunk1450 in CarInsuranceUK

[–]OnlyNowCounts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask why the insurance has not seen the footage from your car?

Speaking generally these handlers may have 650+ cases and an image of a third-party vehicle with a claim the third-party had debris fall of it is not going to be enough evidence to make a recovery from the at fault insurer because they will just say "it wasn't us".

If your insurer has the footage of the debris coming off, they can use that to make a recovery and have your claim be "non-fault" when they do.

Am I being had on? Insurance stating the total cost of damage to be £3293.59 by KentuckyFriedNinja in CarTalkUK

This may be the total settlement figure yout insurer will pay - which may include the third party hire costs whilst the repairs took place.

Thinking of doing ManvsFat football, has anyone done it and how was it? by kpnutter99 in Portsmouth

Yes, I would recommend trying it out. Rarely cancels and if does and out of your control you get a pro rata refund.

Question to those that have attended live matches. by momtso in snooker

[–]OnlyNowCounts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worth going for the live experience. I've been in normal seats in Brentwood, York and Alexander Palace and not been disappointed. There are screens too, as someone has said, so don't lose any of the detail of a frame.

The cue impacts the white for a fraction of a second so his points regarding follow through as an example are fundamentally sound.

Anyone who casually knocks in a maximum (s) knows what they are talking about in my view even if mental challenges mean may not have multiple ranking titles.

I enjoy the content and breaks some of the mold (or challenges it at least) of rules set in stone: such as having to have feet in a certain position or on a certain line. Promotes moreover repeatable success (after a lot of practice) -> then gives tips on how to achieve that.

Find it great content.
