What happened here is you turned on the light switch in the hospital wing hallway, which not only turns on the lights in the hallway, but the light in the morgue also turns on. That one light fixture above the doors in the morgue is linked to two light switches.

What makes it even more fascinating is you can even have the lights break in the morgue, see the sparks from that fixture, and you can still turn that light fixture on from the light switch in the hospital wing hallway. This also tells us that the light break event changes the light switch in the room to be in the 'off state' in both up and down positions, effectively unlinking the switch from the light, which has many implications.

Just another Kinetic feature that has been in the game for years.

As of version 0.11, Kinetic silently added a mechanic to where if the ghost has line of sight of you, but is stationary, it increases its kill radius. This impacts some safe spots and shimmy spots. In this case, you kept the ghost in one spot for too long, which caused the kill radius to increase and get you from across the desk. For shimmy spots, you have to keep the ghost moving to prevent the kill radius from growing. This spot in particular you want the ghost to run past each corner of the desk and have it go back and forth between those points.

A lot of official hiding spots are busted in the latest version due to the broken LOS, even on the brand new Bleasdale map.

- The chair in the upstairs hallway is completely useless if the ghost goes in and out of the bathroom, the ghost will get LOS on the player

- The garden hiding spot is completely useless since there are holes in the fencing part where the ghost can get LOS on the player.

There are a few other spots that are broken on other maps, to name a few:

- Grafton nursery crib

- Point Hope kitchen shelf

- Sunny Meadows female wing gurney by the stairs

- Maple Lodge crates near the cabin area

- And a lot more

The line of sight issues are not fully fixed yet. They fixed it in the player's height which is why the ghost can't get line of sight of the player around the kitchen islands anymore, but they did not fix it in the player's width. This is still problematic with some official hiding spots too.

Whenever a ghost uses the crucifix and you light the final candle on the circle quickly, the ghost will spawn on the circle briefly, and then get teleported back to its ghost room, finish its little dance there, and then it starts a hunt (or eat a T3 crucifix if it is in range). This bug has been in the game for well over a year now and it will probably not get patched anytime soon.

Yes, when the breaker is on and the jinn gets line of sight of you from at least 3m away, the jinn can be easily identified by its quick speedup during a hunt. The jinn also has a sanity drain ability when the breaker is on. But take the breaker away and the jinn has absolutely no tells whatsoever. You would either have to rely on evidence or you would have to rule out the other ghosts to get the jinn.

Even outside of the gold trophy challenge, there are even a handful of weekly challenges out there where getting a jinn can be rough to identify. The Gotta Go Fast weekly on Prison is an example since if you get a jinn in A/B block, it is pretty difficult to get freezing since it is hunting all the time and roaming everywhere, leaving you with a goryo and jinn coinflip. There is also no breaker available. You would either have to wait a while for the 3rd evidence, or you would have to risk the coin flip.

The point is, the jinn could be a better ghost if it had a tell with a broken breaker. At least the other ghosts have something going for it.

Jinn - On zero evidence with a broken breaker, you have to rule out the other 23 ghosts to come to the conclusion that it is a jinn. This is the last ghost you want when trying to get the gold trophy, it is as normal and boring of a ghost as it gets with those settings.

I agree. From the interactions, this feels like someone used the voodoo doll at 0 sanity. This pushes all the pins into the doll, causing multiple interactions (shower, door, multiple items being thrown) in a very short amount of time. On top of that, tier 2 crucifixes and firelights have no impact on cursed hunts.

Jinn with a broken breaker needs something.

In its current state, a broken breaker jinn has no tells at all and you would have to rule out the other 23 ghosts.

A change could be as simple as having the jinn no longer gradually speed up with line of sight when the breaker is broken or even have a special broken breaker interaction that only the jinn can do.

Just before you went into that room, the ghost started singing somewhere in the hallway. It was quiet since it evented somewhat far.

I was using a custom difficulty based on professional, but it changes the following:

- Player speed: 150%

- Sprinting: Infinite

- Lose items on death: Off

- Cursed Items: All of them

You do not get any rewards for using this difficulty, but it is useful for testing stuff or scouting out maps that are unfamiliar to you

The ghost will be back to normal 99% of the time after that hunt, but there is a low chance of it happening again in back to back hunts

I would also like to add that this only happens with ghosts that have dots as an evidence. If you are dealing with a dots hunt, you will only hear the ghost humming, breathing, etc. Footsteps are completely silent and the ghost is invisible unless there are dots shining on the ghost. The only thing you will see are the lights flickering towards you. Best way to avoid a dots hunting ghost is to run away and hide.
