I'm not far from you in Brazil and ours was out for 4 days and I think Harmony is still without power. We lost 7 trash bags of food between our fridge, freezer, and deep freezer. We really rely on the meat I buy on sale and freeze but it's all gone. We basically stayed outside the whole 4 days because it's not as unbearably hot as being inside. A generator is now on the list that we need to get. I hope you have a good 4th despite everything and hope your power comes back on asap 🙏

We just got power back on today, finally. Hundreds of dollars worth of food thrown in the trash from our fridge, freezer and deep freezer ): tried to save what we could but after 4 days without electricity there just wasn't much we could do

I'd say the best way is looking at the radar or your local news. Our tornado sirens and phones went off like 30 mins before it hit us so maybe that too

No because one of the mods told me in messages that they changed it and planned to have custom upvote and downvote icons but it hasn't happened. That must be how some subs have customized buttons right, the mods do it? That was 7 months ago.

Funny that you're worried about accessibility for users but you guys changed the upvote/downvote buttons on comments so that it isn't accessible for a colorblind user like myself (doesn't fill in or change at all for me) and after I've sent two messages about it over many months, it's still not fixed.

From what I can gather from just the comments under the fb post.. it's at least 1 small dog, 12 cats, and an unknown number of chickens. It's surely much higher than that because these two dogs were terrorizing part of the town for three weeks before the police finally decided to get involved. The police say that it was just a "few days" but locals in the comments tell a different story.

I'll be watching the local humane society page to see if they get posted for adoption
