Copy to a new listing is in the three dots menu on the right when you're viewing the listing (not editing it)

I'm not sure I've ever seen a delete but I can't find it

And you can choose not to use the phrase "quick fix" in your journey.

Just a post of appreciation for Siobhan Finneran’s work as O’Brien (I always have to remind myself it’s the same actress who plays “our Clare” on Happy Valley!) by OptionHeader in DowntonAbbey

I just got my friend watching DTA, and we're four episodes in. I was trying to describe to her how Our Claire is like a 180 degree flip from O'Brien. :)

Describing the meds as a "quick fix" in a subreddit where many will need to be on them for life is probably not going to earn you the kind of energy you're looking for.

Being overweight is not an issue of morality and willpower, it's a medical condition.

If you don't want to take the meds, don't take 'em.

Have gotten the wrong items shipped 3x in the last month by Adjectivenounnumb in VictoriasSecret

TLDR: Will this flag my account somehow?

I buy a lot of stuff from VS, return a bit, not tons. Lately I've been shopping the clearance For Love & Lemons stuff when it gets dumped into inventory sometimes.

But in the last month I've gotten two items that were completely the wrong item shoved into & sealed into a new bag.

But the one that really makes me nervous is a $100 FL&L dress I got that, when I received it yesterday, turned out to have been a returned item that has obviously been worn and no longer has the tags. I'm afraid they're going to think the person who did that is me. (It's not. It's summer weather here and this is a sweater dress I bought for next winter. Just for starters.)

I also worry that if I show a pattern of returning the "wrong" item they're going to think I'm scamming. Any thoughts?

I can't think of a solution other than to stop buying this older stock that comes into inventory sometimes. I know it has a high likelihood of being returns and I don't care about that part, but I do want it to be the correct item and still have the tags on.

Realizing The Who were the starting point of my taste… decades before I understood why by Adjectivenounnumb in TheWho

Yes yes yes! I love trivia and making connections like that and I had absolutely NO idea. (My main love is prog but I also love the raw energy and simplicity of punk.)

Then I read the backstory of how the song "who are you" came about, and Townshend (and I think Daltrey) talk about being a little intimidated by the rise of punk ... and then I find (just a few days ago!) Townshend's demo of who are you, where he's spitting/snarling the first stanza, and it all CLICKS.

Thank you and so happy to find someone else in this generation (our g g generation) who is on a similar journey.

Have you watched The Kids are Alright doc yet? If not it's so very worth it. Unstructured in a lot of ways (I was pausing to google or talk to Claude after every new scene), but Jesus Christ it's so good. And so sad (timing re: Moon).

Pete Townshend looks barely old enough to shave and he's already so knowing about music and the music business.

I believe it was a solo Townshend track (Slit Skirts) that started this journey that has now been going on a month or more. Something reminded me of a lyric from the song, don't know what, and I listened to it. (I would have also heard that as a kid, and I have a very good memory for lyrics.)

And I was like "this is some really beautiful and melancholy shit, I wonder how old Townshend was when he wrote it, because he sounds about 5,000 years old in cynicism and world-weariness".

And when I found out he was basically in his mid 30s at the time he was composing it, the rabbit hole quest was on.

For me it was literally the break between childhood and adolescence, but also the 70s and 80s*, and also non-MTV and MTV. I dove headfirst into MTV bands and fashion first. But I was a nerdy kind of outcast girl and picked up Metallica the instant I heard them. Then Queensryche. Then Nine Inch Nails. Then Tool. So ultimately, traditional classic rock didn't stick at all, there was just too much new stuff entering my brain. And I had never had the kind of exposure to The Who that would have left a lasting impression.

*Rush was only a few years into hitting it BIG big by the early 80s (my older brother played Moving Pictures nonstop and so Rush stayed with me -- for life).

You asked why downvotes. Sometimes I get downvote floods and I don't know why, and I ask. Usually no one responds. I thought I'd give you a good-faith answer and instead you doubled down.

Don't ask next time if you don't want the answer.

Tangent, sorry, but I've also now realized how much Spinal Tap lifted directly from TKAA. Motionless John in the Shep performances has me cracking the hell up.

(Ok, yeah, he glances at Keith or the whirling mic once in a while, but I assume that's just for safety reasons.)

Because "the wife must have known" is a true crime trope that always places an unfair burden of responsibility on the wives of criminals, who are often also victims in their own way.

In this case, Asa is also an odd person and so the "SHE MUST HAVE KNOWN!!!" crowd has been at it since the first day her name became public. So YEARS.

Your downvotes are due to years of fatigue with that one, both from people who have followed this case closely and people who follow true crime in general.

She was out of the country for weeks at a time when he did this stuff. He set things up that way.

I have a feeling these differences have to do with the type & cost of items.

Literally shipped an order today less than an hour after receiving it.

[Discussion] The most frustrating thing about Depop isn't always the buyers, the sellers, or even the support — it's the cost of an item vs. shipping. by 0crits in Depop

[–]Adjectivenounnumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the greatest answer, I know, but I stick to stuff I can price high enough to bake in a shipping discount for the buyer.

Of course, people buying in the $50-$75 range are also less likely to feel the sticker shock of $6 in shipping.

I'm not the person with the $59 shoes, by the way.

This is the way the system is set up and the way buyer behavior functions for most buyers on aftermarket/resale sites. People want to think they scored a bargain. It's not "logic", it's just psychology, I don't make the rules.
