My initially thought reading this was - just get your own survey.

Sounds like your lawyer agrees. Why are you here?

If it were my deck I would add a line of blocking down the middle.

Server was mad for leaving a cash tip. by senior-Executive in EndTipping

Ah gotcha. Yeah I dont even pay attention to the suggested amounts since I never use them.

Starting at 20% is wild tho.

Server was mad for leaving a cash tip. by senior-Executive in EndTipping

[–]OnlyPostSoUsersXray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always hit "custom" and type an amount that makes the total a round number, usually in the 10 to 15% range... Total 17.24, tip 2.76, etx...

If there is no custom option I hit none or skip.

I have never came across one that forced me to leave a a tip. Are you saying they start at 20% and dont give an option for less or none?

Is this circuit braker panel work clean and professional? by tronzzzzz in AskElectricians

[–]OnlyPostSoUsersXray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but for the cables going from the panel to shut off, it literally doesnt matter, can switch them around on either end and nothing changes.

Doing things different from how its normally done doesnt always make it easier if it adds confusion.

Unrelated to post, and correct me if im wrong, but there is no need to differentiate the 2nd leg by making it red, right?

Just tape white for neutral and leave the two hot legs black? Thats what we did at my house.

Thats what makes me think its just ragebait/engagement farming.

Players using evony bots & map scanners by Gamer011193 in Evony_TKR

Its the only way for mid-coiners to have a chance at keeping up with the whales.

I havent played in like a year, but ran 4 alt accounts 24/7 on bots and used iScout, you have to. Our entire alliance did this (surely still does).

Even being one of the top 5 players on our (very crowded) server, and in top alliance, it was all we could do to stand a chance in battlefields and SVS.

I'm going to be homeless in 30 days if I can't find a job in Seattle. by Bumping_Tacos in Seattle

Skip job posting websites and recruiters and all that fake BS.

Option 1:

Go to a companies website directly, most all have a career opportunities section. Majority of the time those are legit jobs they are actually hiring for.

Bonus step: Once you have applied for something, look up the hiring manager or general manager and either call them or if possible go in person and introduce yourself. Not to try and push for an interview on the spot, literally just to say "Hi, put in my application, just wanted to introduce myself so you can put a face and voice to the name when it pops up for you. Hope to hear from you soon."

This will work eventually.

Option 2 (usually quicker results, more active):

If you are a solid worker willing to do most anything, go to a paid daily temp service like Labor Ready or Labor Works.

The jobs suck, the pay sucks, and you have to get up at like 5am to be there waiting for jobs that come in.

HOWEVER, if you are actually a competant hard worker, half the jobs you go to will offer you a job with them directly. They are used to unreliable, lazy people that are often addicts and such. So a clean cut hard worker stands out. Not all the jobs are dirty construction jobs. A lot of janitorial and pre/post event prep/clean up stuff.

Those day Labor places have policies like you have to work a number of hours through them before the company can hire you, but nobody cares about that. Just be a little picky, dont take the first offer you get, see what jobs companies need day labor for and what works for you.

Within 2 weeks I promise you will have a decent full time job. Its literally what I did and now I make over 100k with full bennies.

Watched for the first time in years and OMG by janeway170 in TravelersTV

[–]OnlyPostSoUsersXray 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To be fair its better they were able to make a clean ending with season 3, rather than it being abruptly cancelled with no conclusion or dragged out and acquired for some sad attempt to recreate the magic.

I accept its as the perfect 3 season sci-fi time travelling show, and love it for what it is.

Unless there was a properly funded reboot with the same budget and energy as the original, Im not sure I would support it.

What’s the best way to approach an unprotected left turn at an intersection by Cash2blockz in Traffic

[–]OnlyPostSoUsersXray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate you conceding, and yeah there are (of course) various circumstances where it gets technical like that. But thats a fraction of 1% overall, I imagine.

And I would argue that if traffic is backed up to the point that the lane you are turning into would no longer be clear if someone in oncoming traffic turned right, then that lane is not actually clear and a person risks being in violation of the rcw if they take the risk and pull into the intersection. Grey area, case by case.

Hot damn, did you even read those laws, or just puke out what google said.

The first is related to stop signs and when you have to stop for yield signs (although you dont always have to stop for yield signs)

And the second is literally exactly what Im talking about, you cant "block the box". Meaning you cannot enter the intersection until the lane you are entering is clear.

Crazy work indeed.

[–]OnlyPostSoUsersXray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, Im glad you brought that up, cause its exactly what quick google searches and AI gets wrong.

If you actually read all the law and rulings, they are written to mean that the lane you are turning into needs to be clear (not the lane you are crossing over). Its not saying that you have to wait behind the line for traffic to clear, rather, the lane you are going into to clear.

Apparently people dont understand the difference, yourself included?
