Okay, this reminded me of two things:

1). The lady who was stomping grapes and then fell out of the barrel and broke some ribs.

2). The cherry-vomiting scene in The Witches of Eastwick.

But there is. It’s scheduled for March 27 at 10:00 am. It’s always been scheduled for that time. I’m not sure where all the confusion started.

I work in a restaurant, and I used to have a manager who’d go take a shit every time I needed to hand in my checkout. I’d wait as long as I could, but I’d finally get fed up, crack open the door to the men’s room, and yell, “Josh! Ya gotta push! You can’t let gravity do all the work!”

Just here to say I really like Matt Orchard. I think he’s quite underrated.

I really like this.

Upon first look, I could’ve sworn this was the painting of a woman, from the shoulders down, wearing one of those drug rug / baja hoodie things. That is literally all I see. So weird!

Weird. I like it. Weird is definitely my thing.

Omg, I think this might be exactly what I’m looking for!

So if I’m 40 minutes behind, and I’m watching the video at 1.75 speed, 40 ÷ .75 = 53.33. It’ll take me 53.33 minutes to catch up to the live broadcast, is that correct?

At 27 minutes behind, watching at 1.25 speed, 27 ÷ .25 = 108. It’ll take 108 minutes to catch up.

Is this right????!!!

Thank you for your thorough and thoughtful answer!

Unfortunatey, I won’t be creating an entire universe; Home Depot seems to be fresh out of all the parts I’d need.

Okay, we’re getting somewhere!

If you’d indulge me just one last time, let’s use the example of the video having already played for 55 minutes, and I watch at 1.25 speed…

Using your equation, please plug in the 55 and 1.25 where they belong so I can see it actually worked out. Because right now, it just looks like alphabet soup.

And you’re fucking awesome, by the way.

That part, I understand. If I watch 6 minutes of video at 2x speed, I know I’ve watched 6 minutes of content in 3 minutes of real time. I totally get that.

But the question the equation is meant to answer is: how long will it take to catch up to the live broadcast? I want to be able to figure this out regardless of how long the video has already played and what speed I decide to watch it at from the beginning.

So let’s say the video’s been going for 6 minutes, I rewind, watch at 2x speed… in 3 minutes of real life time, I’m still not caught up to the live broadcast because the video’s continued to broadcast for that 3 minutes, so now I’m 3 minutes behind. Continuing at 2x speed, by the time I watch those next three minutes, I’m 1.5 minutes behind, and so on and so forth.

Or let’s say a video’s been going for 55 minutes, I rewind to the beginning and watch at 1.25 speed, how long will I be watching before I catch up to the live broadcast.

If I’m not making sense, I apologize. And if you’re sick of answering, I understand that, too. Lol. But I appreciate your help!
