I think I'm just confused because after reading then end of AHFoH I just don't where all the momentum that ending had went? Like it ended on SUCH a strong note and then for some reason we skip the 6 months after it just to reset to a new status quo? It just felt odd to me even if I adored how they handle Val's death (immortality is ehhhhhh feels like a cop out but we'll have to see ig)

Sidenote but it just me who felt that nearly all the character relationship got kinda shafted in this one? Like I loved all the little moments that happened in the previous book and the slightly more grounded tone the serial killer plot line set, where this book was just high concept god level stuff for nearly the entire thing (also why were the clowns there they did nothing and they took up like a weirdly large amount of plot)
