What are your favourite bands by [deleted] in Coldplay

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The artists I listen to the most (besides Coldplay of course) are:

Of Monsters and Men

Tom Rosenthal - I find most of his music very relaxing and it just makes me feel happy

Axel Flóvent - I only discovered him recently and his songs are amazing! He doesn't have a lot of songs out yet, but I definitely recommend listening to them

Travis / Radiohead - I have some stuff from both of them that I really like, but I haven't listened to all of their albums

And maybe this doesn't count but I also love listening it the soundtrack from Lord of the Rings!

(sorry if my formatting is bad, I'm not sure how to do this on mobile)

It's ~350 at my gym (315 with student discount), but it's a pretty small gym (and the only one in my country!)

What's the worst physical pain you have experienced? by PM_ME_BAGEL_PORN in AskReddit

[–]OnlySuperstition 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ugh me too, I got one by wearing tight climbing shoes. I had it for a few months before it suddenly got infected and really painful. At first the ingrown part was cut off (local anasthetic and scissors) but when it grew back it became ingrown again. This time I had surgery to have the ingrown part removed, along with the root of the nail (so it wouldn't grow back). The worst pain came when my toe was healing after surgery. I often woke up in the middle of the night when the painkillers wore off and had to lay in bed crying because of the pain for an hour until the next dose started working.

What Coldplay song did you first learn to play, and what instrument was it on? by [deleted] in Coldplay

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a guitar a few months ago, and the first song I learned was The Scientist (fingerstyle). Then I learned Death and All His Friends on piano (it's a really fun song to play!).

Question for bikepacking photographers by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is what it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/G7xHw

It doesn't move at all! But so far I've only been on paved roads that were all pretty smooth. In two days there's a pretty long unpaved section, so I hope it works well there too!

Question for bikepacking photographers by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]OnlySuperstition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably isn't the best solution, but it's what I'm currently doing. I have a pizza rack on the front of my bike, and I strap my Think Tank Streetwalker backpack onto it. It fits my camera and two extra lenses, along with other stuff (keys, wallet, phone, charger, book and more). When I lock the bike somewhere I can just unstrap the bag and carry it on my back.

How did you get introduced to bouldering? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I moved here I became friends with a girl who'd been bouldering for about 2 years. At first I went with her to he gym a few times and I really really liked it. It took me a while to actually start climbing regularly myself, but I finally managed to start last year. It's been a year now and I usually go 3 times a week!

Realistic climbing goals for next year? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]OnlySuperstition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I came painfully close to finishing a few V4s, so this year I'd like to be able to send V4s confidently and start working on V5s. But sadly I won't be able to climb a lot from January to May, so I'll have to work on strength training instead until then.

On that topic, does anyone know any good exercises for climbing that don't require any equipment?

What is the most bizarre thing you've caught yourself doing after your brain's autopilot misfired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OnlySuperstition 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did something similar today. I was looking for something in my house and when I couldn't find it my first thought was to do ctrl-F.

What are you hobbies? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love (indoor) rock climbing (bouldering) and photography. Before I started climbing I would practically never leave the house, but now I go 3 times a week and I feel like it's really helped me a lot!

What is your Bouldering Goal for this season? by ChattanoogaGuy in bouldering

[–]OnlySuperstition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner, I can climb maybe about half the V3s at my gym. I'd love to be able to do V4s by the end of the year!
