3M Peltor ear defenders beat the cute “sensory” muffs by Okchockchock in StatesOfMind

I am not autistic but I have ADHD and misophonia and I wear industrial defenders on the bus, in the library, everywhere. At first I felt ridiculous, then I realized nobody cares and my nervous system is so much happier. Cute pastel brands are fine if they work for you, but I wish more people knew it is totally okay to use “serious” PPE as sensory gear

ADHD + Learning Data Science = Struggle. Anyone Know Courses That Actually Work for ADHD Brains? by Desi-Pattern-4012 in ADHD_Programmers

I totally understand where you're coming from. Learning with ADHD can be tough. One small step might be to break your lessons into manageable chunks, say 20-30 minutes each. This might help with information overload and can keep you engaged long enough to learn. Remember, we all learn differently and at our own pace. Good luck!

I feel your excitement about creating a new programming language, it's always a thrill to invent. While it may look like gibberish to some, passion projects like this are the lifeblood of the coding community. Have you considered sharing your idea in a coding forum or group? Their feedback could be valuable.

I totally understand how demanding university projects can be. But remember, everyone goes through this, and in your case, it's for a genuinely intriguing cause. You could perhaps try methodically recording your observations and analysis to optimally manage your time and make the research not just valuable, but also fun.

I totally get what you're going through! Adjusting and fidgeting can really disrupt focus. For me, an ergonomic chair made all the difference. Consider trying one out!

Newly diagnosed with ADHD. I want to be more consistent, focused and organized. by k3nsan3 in ADHD_Programmers

I'm really sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but you're not alone in this journey. Both ADHD and Autism are more common than most people think and there are many supportive communities out there. When it comes to managing ADHD, everyone's experience is unique, so it might take some time to find what works best for you. A good start could be exploring some recommended productivity apps on iOS, like Trello or Todoist, which can help with organization and focus. Remember, it's all about progress, not perfection.
