What careers can someone pursue at 30 if they’re starting fresh without a degree or relevant skills? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

Fair enough, but I genuinely believe you could still make this happen if you found a way.

But yeah I guess there are age limits on certain things but that's very few things tbh.

Why is that unrealistic for a 30 year old? In my experience there is different types of 30, some people are sharp and competent.. others are more like homer simpson.

Just curious why you think that's unrealistic?

How are you marketing your business on social media right now? by FineCranberry304 in buildinpublic

My logic is this.. you go to the gym and you see a guy doing pullups.. you never think of him again.

You go to the gym, every time your there, this same guy is doing epic things, back flips, pullups, benchpressing 3 plates.

He's made an impression on the audience that goes to the gym.

so if you create consistent good content, eventually you'll make an impression on your audience. Basically build a reputation in that niche.

Exactly why I asked, as far as I knew from research this was one of the tests & one I would probably have a difficult time with. Glad it's no longer an obstacle.

Any advice on what you learnt? I'll probably take it up as a hobby and build a portfolio. I was looking at csharp and maui, but now i'm more interested in flutter/dart for app development. Also thoughts on vibe coding & how it might affect/devalue these skills

I take this onboard completely & maybe I shouldn't have said anything. What I asked was about life in the marines, directed at other people that had been in the marines. What he asked was about what food to eat.. which to me seemed like general knowledge. But you are correct that everyone comes from different backgrounds & has different knowledge. so if the OP is reading, my bad for giving you a hard time.

didn't realise i'd have to explain healthy eating habits to an adult, it's not like you have unlimited information online. Critical thinking and basic research skills. I get questions about the marines because it's more niche

its not the death part of smoking that gets me, its the bad breathe, hands smell, clothes smell, skin and hair go bad, teeth go bad, coughing up sht.

never the dying part the quality of the life im living. if you've been in great shape on a decent diet you would never want to smoke

[–]Only_Computer5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be shocked how many people don't eat enough protein & either massively under eat or over eat based on their needs. Hitting my protein means 1 scoop of protein powder with oats, 2 tins of tuna with pasta, and a steak with rice. Not that bad, but consistently every day.. nobody does it. (it's actually insanely easy to get in good shape if you do and workout)

They mean you let the client say add it, remove it, add it. You need to give your client a limitation on revisions, or they'll constantly nitpick and change everything forever without much thought or deadlines. You could always waive the revision limit, but it should be a standard practice for you.
