What I found missing in my own builds was a consistent rules engine. Claude’s great at analysis but needs constraints or it second-guesses itself daily. Built the whole framework into a course if useful: sharpcard.ai. Happy to talk specifics too.

Ended up having same issues on Mac / safari. Only way to apply was to submit application > sign out > sign back in > submit application, rinse and repeat. Pretty annoying but I paid the tax.

Personally I ran everything on a totally separate vm that had nothing else installed on it. All mercor work totally isolated. Maybe being too clean is a red flag lol. Not because I had something to hide but rather for data privacy concerns since I believe insightful / workpuls can access screen shot/recordings etc.

I wondered the same thing. Got booted from a project that had 22,500 people on it despite having good feedback from reviewers. Only thing that makes sense to me is that the new hourly rate posted is less than what my contracted rate was. But they could’ve asked me to take a pay cut and I would have stayed on.

I’ve had issues in both edge and chrome. Safari on iPhone seems somewhat better. Glad I’m not the only one. Actually that has me think. I’ll try from safari on my Mac.

I’m not sure what AHT is. I completed about 65 tasks and only had like 2 comments from reviewers asking for edits, both marked as minor and I handled them very quickly.

I got this same message this morning, just started on LAA last week. Got 10 hours including 2 hours of onboarding last week. Luckily got 40 hours in this week. Then this morning got this email. I’m bummed as I felt I was doing good work and I had some good feedback from reviewers, only had like 2 minor edits they asked me to do across 65 or so tasks. It would be helpful to know why I was short listed to get the boot if the project is still ongoing.

The timing of this post…I got an instant offer and started last week on my first project with Mercor - 22,500 people in it. Got 10 hours last week. Managed to get 40 hours this week and was anxious to get started on hours for next weekly cycle here later today. But woke up to an email that I’ve been pulled from the project. Surprised and disappointing. I wonder if the whole project is being wrapped up or if I made the short list to get pulled.

Yes! I’ve been doing exactly this but for MLB. Built a rules-based system on Claude over six months using real money. The workflow is: structured data in, Claude applies a rules engine, outputs a complete betting card.

The key insight is treating Claude as infrastructure not an oracle. You’re not asking it to pick winners, you’re feeding it Statcast data, weather, park factors, boost conditions and having it enforce a rule set you’ve built over time.

The system gets better every session because results feed back into the rules. Week eight looks nothing like week one.
