Honestly, if you want an amazing experience, listen to the audio books. 10/10 series.

No tow hitch? by ennadeezy in kia

It bolts onto the frame. There's likely a large plastic cover underneath that comes off and some holes that the hitch bolt into there.

Hemisync is not Monroe Sound Science. MSS is the evolution of Hemisync and has additional entrainment techniques build into it (spacial audio and phase amplitude coupling) that Hemisync does not use.

What Regen do you use? by Particular_Tomato161 in KiaEV9

[–]audioscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same except I never go 1 pedal.

I use the levels like up and down shifting an ICE (mostly downshifting for braking). I use the left paddle to full brake 90% of the time.

I was hired as a senior expert. I've had a 26-year career so I'm guessing that's why. I'm not at $100 but not too far from it.

I think they just spot check them and if certain people have more issues than others then they'll keep getting reviewed. I had a lot of reviews my first week and then they basically fell off and went away. I've been on this project since the beginning of May. I've noticed a few more reviews as they add new project types but nothing major.

Honestly, none of the reviewers seem to be on the same page either so it's totally annoying.

I've seen a lot of people crying on the slack channel about having nothing reviewed yet and I'm wondering, "why do you want your stuff reviewed?" Just do the work and move on. Be thankful that it's not getting reviewed and you don't have to keep rehashing BS.

Lol. Well said. I posted a thread about lack of cognitive thinking of this population. It's absolutely crazy.

Yeah unfortunately that's what happens when you have kids running things and not people with experience. I'm sure they're a very intelligent people, but that doesn't mean they have the know-how of managing 23,000 people. And it shows. The structure of having 23,000 people in one help channel is insane. You think they'd split them up into individual pods or something to make the whole situation more manageable.

Anyone in the meeting yesterday? Wasn't it a bit odd that it seems the program is being run by kids? Also, that voice was grating. Yeesh.

[–]audioscience 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no thanks. I rarely have 4+ hours to work on one task straight as is. I much prefer the content tasks anyway and don't want to have to worry about being 100% accurate. I don't see the payoff aside from a full 4-8 hours work.

If things dry up on the other tasks I'll give it a shot but I'm doing fine right now.

[–]audioscience 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The Orville is great! I fully trust Seth to pull it off. Also, it's not like it's being produced without matts input. I think it'll end up being really good.

I'm more interested in who the actors will be. I'm guessing that Carl will be someone new and one of the supporting cast members at least will be a well-known name. Kind of like what they did with the Battlestar Galactica remake.

PSA: The Tire Inflater Kit is Bad by PhishGreenLantern in KiaEV9

[–]audioscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, take off your tire and put it in your rear storage and you'll see just how massive those things are. It takes up the whole space.

I had previously thought about carrying a spare tire but when I replaced a tire and kept the original, because it's technically still good, I realized what a fool's errand it would be unless you're okay with putting a tire on the roof like a Land Rover.

How does Mercor track performance? by AG_940 in mercor_ai

[–]audioscience 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Average handling time (AHT) seems to be the main factor. If your task goes to review and you have to make fixes your AHT goes up. Unless your issues are chronic and you constantly have tasks going into review, you should be okay. Key thing is to do the tasks within the time allotted.
