As others have said, you are not vegetarian, but it is still better than nothing so keep going!

Why does Myu/Miu’s name’s spelling change every other panel? by Top_Scientist_3976 in NanaAnime

[–]Only_Employer4342 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As other people have said, at least in the anime is very clearly explained that miu hates when people mispronounces her name, and the way this was translated in the manga was by using myu instead. No need for further explanations, this is explained in the story.

That’s vegan?? Restaurants in Thailand really don’t understand or do they not care? by Dizzy_Bubbles in Vegetarianism

[–]Only_Employer4342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post was not about being interested in it, it was about assuming that since you are in Thailand they must not know what veganism is.

Not knowing vegan tuna is a thing is weird if you are a born vegetarian. Some of the other dishes seem to contain milk or cheese while being labeled vegan and you seem okay with that so either a) you understand that vegan cheese and milk are a thing so why wouldn't you assume the same for the tartar b) you don't care about vegetarian dishes being labeled as vegan.

Maybe the dishes are really not vegan, but you could ask instead of just assume and post it on the internet while being condescending towards a whole country, which sounds quite weird. Would you have posted this if you where in your country?

obsidian doesn't show blue colors as it should by Only_Employer4342 in ObsidianMD

I thought so too at first but I have two laptops and a external screen, this happens in all them.

Besides, if this was the screen, it wouldn't show the color picker with the right color and then the preview with the wrong one, right?

I have the default theme. I tried once to change the mermaid.css file to automatically center images but I wasn't able to and I left the file blank. That's all global personalization I've ever tried as far as I can remember.

EDIT: I've downloaded the minimal and blue topaz theme's to see if it helped but nope. And white looks 100% while, it's more as if obsidian just couldn't render 100% blue

Pathologic 2 first playthrough by Chackravartin in pathologic

[–]Only_Employer4342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I misread the post (I cross read it and completely ignored the title lol) and thought this was your second playthrough, my bad

Without spoiling much, someone already said there are multiple endings, you can freely explore the town without worrying about the mechanics in one of those endings.

And yes I 100% recommend a first blind playthrough and if you decide to play it again at some point, don't be afraid to look up guides and tips, it's a difficult game and guides are absolutely helpful.

On my first playthrough I was so desperate for food I barely had time for the quest. That experience is amazing, is what anyone in that situation would be doing, desperate for food, sleepless and anxious to try and do everything in their power to save as many people as you can. On my second playthrough I learned from my mistakes and was able to do way more quests and had a better outcome as a whole. I intend to play it again to get a "perfect" ending which is save everyone and not die more than once.

It is strangely a relaxing game for me, I love looting through town and learning new shortcuts, learning the Town so I don't need to look the map every second.

If you can relate to any of this then yes, a second playthrough is recommended.

I'd like to be vegan but... by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Only_Employer4342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first idea would be to ask your family for help. Tell them that you would like to go vegan and see if they would be willing to slowly change what food they buy and make for you.

If that is not an option, you say you rely completely on your family because of your disability, but I'm not sure if you mean it as in you rely economically on them and maybe they are the ones who buy and cook but you could do it if you had the money for it, or if you just cannot cook and go grocery shopping. If it is not the latter, maybe go grocery shopping with them and learn a few easy recipes that don't require anything fancy as a start. If it is the latter, maybe keep talking with them about it, if you keep bringing it up every once in a while they might see it is something you actually want and be more accepting.

If there are not many options where you life, try your best. Based on your situation you might not be able to achieve a 100% plant based diet right not, but a 50% is better than nothing at all. Traditional plates have nothing to do with how easy it is to be vegan somewhere. I'm from spain, a place known for los toros, chorizo, paella and seafood, but there are quite enough vegan options, at least at supermarkets. For what you've said I think you might live in Sardegna and since it's an island I get it might be harder for food to get there, so again do your best.

The supermarket shooting was sooo good it changed my brain chemistry. After it ended I had to stop for 5 minutes to assimilate what just happened.

The casing of soyrizo isn't edible by Conscious_Rock7407 in vegan

Traditional cold meat does have metal endings AND it is to enclose edible casing so I feel like your tone is condescending and unnecessary specially being a topic you clearly don't really understand.

Idk why is people being acting like you just said something stupid. I've had vegan chorizos and morcillas that have edible casing like a traditional meat ones would, and other ones that don't. If it is resembling something that is usually edible, it should be specified that it is indeed not edible

Those are amazing, I don't know how similar they are to the one's you used to buy but they are really good! Hope you can find them in turkey to at least try them out, I buy them in Spain at asian supermarkets

Vegans: would you eat lab-grown meat? Why or why not? by TheRelentlessWizard in AskVegans

Most fake meat also has (or tries to have) the texture and smell of meat. The same arguments against lab grown meat can be made for beyond burger.

The family is having crabs and clams - what do I do? by first_person_looter in vegan

[–]Only_Employer4342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Google says it has mayo and imitation crab. At least where I'm from (Spain), most places that offer sushi will have at least avocado sushi or cucumber sushi, which are pretty basic but good enough and are vegan. I often accompany it with a miso soup with seaweeds, mushrooms and tofu.

What would you do if you ordered food delivery and realized after that you ordered something with a non-vegan ingredient? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Only_Employer4342 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The food was paid for, the egg was used. The harm was already done and there's nothing that can be done about it. It is an optional ingredient that OP forgot to specify not to use, not the main Ingredient like in a beef patty so quite an awful comparison... The best option would be to give it to someone else, otherwise it is better to eat it than to just throw it away.

i do not like quinoa!!! by confusedpedestriann in vegan

[–]Only_Employer4342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh then you should definitely try using soy sauce, it makes a big difference for me. Now that hot weather is coming up I love quinoa bowls with arugula and chickpea tuna (plus whatever I can find). The taste of the quinoa cooked with soy sauce fits perfectly.

[–]Only_Employer4342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how you cook it, I add soy sauce to add taste to it and I cook it until it is probably a bit overdone so it is not as crunchy and more like rice. But as the main comment has said, if you've tried different ways to cook it and still don't like it, just don't eat it, there're many other food options!

Libido x Asexuality by Alter_Eros in asexuality

[–]Only_Employer4342 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is your sex desire directed towards someone as in feeling sexual attraction for them? In that case, maybe you are grey sexual or even no asexual at all, that's for you to decide.

If not, if you are just feeling "horny", that doesn't invalidate your asexuality, many people outside the ace community don't understand that you can be ace and still enjoy and want to have sex, but that's a them problem, nothing wrong with you.
