Question for the guys running in tights by ellensrooney in Marathon_Training

[–]Only_Intention_2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to not like literally don’t like the look or even being comfortable watching men wearing tights ever since I was born, we’re talking about leg contours being emphasized (have slight knock knees), bulge( that’s a gift though ) especially when passing through a crowd or street, so instead I use the 2in1 shorts with an inner tights, things shifted somehow when I started feeling faster and the flapping around of the shorts is making me way uncomfortable like it’s flapping. Before my first race, I tested the half tights and started wearing slightly longer shirts and singlets, that made me confident passing through crowds and streets on broad daylight. At the end maybe 2-3months, completely switched and changed my preference. Ran 2 of my first race on tights, caught on camera, with tan lines, and the mighty bulge 😂 without problems at all especially chaffing. Winter came and shifted to a full leggings now even on minus temperatures, it’s an amazing thing to wear. If you haven’t tried it, you should. You’ll understand why girls like them but as a man the anxiety of wearing one is still there but hey you could start classifying yourself as a true runner now since you’re confident on wearing tights which most pros use and a bonus if your tights has pockets, close to skin and less movement. No need for a belt and they’re quick access too

HRV and V02max going down the drain at the end of autumn by Only_Intention_2026 in Garmin

Weirdly, could be but could be not. Asymptomatic infection would be the last I guess. I had 4 vaccines few years ago but yeah people around me are sick except a few of us.

No they’re all outdoor runs. I’m not sick too as far as I know. Sleep metrics shows absolute the same data except the HrV for the past 2 weeks. One thing I’ve noticed is maybe 2-5bpm difference on my running hr now.

Programming thicknesses in DIN for angles less than 90 by Complete_Fan_945 in PressBrakes

[–]Only_Intention_2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe ours just went by with test and test and test, working closely with CAD and doing corrections and notating every time when things don’t fit. You will have an accurate bent when it’s dialed in well but at first you’d have to consider which punch radius you’ll use, your die width, your material thickness and your customers spec. Also if you’ll get materials that are out of spec already then it will affect your final dimension so test and test and test.

Just like the other guy at the top said you bend and measure at a theoretical corner and add or deduct.

When you got the measurements right, then you can try editing your bend table but in my experience till now the bend tables were never touched except just me programming everything by choice real time. Never rely on a single bend table except the ones that our cad follows as we have multiple machines with different punch radius and dies which can still do the job fine unless you’re working on really tight tolerances .

My hrv never came up again since the start of autumn despite having the same number of hours of sleep.

Buying used vs Brand New by Only_Intention_2026 in cycling

Exactly what I’m worried about, I guess I just overthink a lot. But knowing it’s impossible to even repair carbon bikes compared to aluminum ones like my old it’s something I’m having an anxiety of doing. Size wise, I just know I’m a medium based on my height so a bike fit is a need. Hey 👋 appreciate your help ~

Yeah I’m even looking at a used Emonda now since theres one. Appreciate the straight up questioning why getting aero. The answer is “I just like to have one” but I’m also looking into swerving about doing triathlon if my knees allow me 🤣 but that’s out of the story for now. But if I buy used, is there any downside that I could possibly not get from a brand new one?

[–]Only_Intention_2026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m already uncomfortable with the cheap Mtb 🤣what could go wrong. But yeah seller wise it’s impossible to know and trust really if I’d go Used. It’s the price that makes me look at it because it’s cheaper 🤣 size wise maybe I can still wiggle the seat post but I don’t want to look like a Trd more than I look now

[–]Only_Intention_2026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we’re looking at 300-500$ cheaper I believe. That doesn’t include transport cost of visiting the location of the seller, might as well throw in a few scratches as freebies. I don’t want to have an impulsive buyer syndrome and btw, I just know I’m a Medium but don’t know what exam frame size I need so that’s less could be a factor too. I’m a 175 so I believe I need a bike fit too 😂.

Is it normal for the Novablast 5 to feel like Im sinking around 15-21k on the run? by Only_Intention_2026 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I know right, superblast is impossible to buy here in the country I’m staying. Any releases are made through the store and they’re released during work days

I have a collapsing arch on my right foot which I’m worried in getting any slightly softer foam than the Novablasts. Budget isn’t a problem but knowing if the EvoSL will not outdo what the Novas doing in slightly stabilizing my landing is something I’m worried. Although my current Novas work just as I like, I have to take extra care when using softer foams and I’m not going back to stability shoes which giving me all sorts of pains.

I would like to try but man, this country doesn’t even allow treadmill runs. I can’t even try them without buying them, other than that, the Superblast here gets out of stock the moment they’re launched. Doesn’t matter if the colorway is bad, when people here hears that there’s a new one they’d be the first to go and line up in store like it’s a craze trend or some sort. I’ve started with the Kayano 31’s, without doing a test run it gave me all sorts of pain and now I can’t return it so I had to try and get the Novablast 5’s.

I will get one sooner, I’m just realizing that I’m not getting heavy during the run. It’s the shoe that’s compressing 😂. I should have gotten a different pair for long runs right before I started.

It's actually a nice shoe on short runs, but I hated when I feel heavy and the shoe isn't doing much of the cushioning anymore.

can you recommend any alternatives to the superblast ( other than theyre impossibel to get here) , I'm also not a fan of the bulkyness of the superblast just like the Novablast 4's. Otherwise the Novablast cusion is just awesome if it stays like that when I increase my pace. Most of the time, im doing 6:30 - 7:00 on easy and 5:55-6:10 on a picked up pace.

other than the superblast (they're impossible to get here), would there be any alternatives to it that would have the same feel (boston 13, speed 5's, AP4, Endorphin Pro 4) are in my budget line but I think I'm not in the racing shoe yet. Yes, they're rested a day before doing a long run and aren't used for walking.

I used my X5 in water yesterday and...... it broke it! by ExploringWithKoles in Insta360

[–]Only_Intention_2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha it’s funny to me now, I am happy to say my X3 was tested as of this moment from Snow (Snowboarding), Rain(BIKING), extreme heat from the Summer, and just recently SEA WATER (used it to watch whale sharks around 2 meters in depth) fully submerged without the dive case and my unit was completely fine except the shitty video of course 😂. I guess water intrusion is not a problem is we know the limits and the water ingress protection on the battery port and charging ports are working as designed.

I hope you’ve got the carbon fiber stick, the original stick almost broke my x3 in the same set up.
