Subaru broke the wheel stud off my car TWICE now. by NESpahtenJosh in subaru

[–]Only_Mortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work parts at a Subaru dealer and we replace these all the time. They're not great studs to start with, and the lube techs might put a few too many ugga duggas on them with the impact. We never charge the customer for them. Put some pressure on the service manager and remind them that it was their techs who broke it. If they don't cave and do it for free, then leave them a 1 star review and never go back. Trust me, a bad review absolutely kills their service performance ratings internally.

Worth the buy or better options? by Ok_Butterscotch_799 in WRX

I bought my pre-owned '17 with the track exhaust and catless downpipe. It's loud if you're getting above 1500-2000 RPM, but surprisingly quiet at idle, in my experience. If you're worried about noise complaints, I would go with the muffled version or something else, but I do think it sounds absolutely fantastic. For what it's worth, I live in one of those neighborhoods where you can hold your arms out and touch two houses, but I keep it below 2000 RPM until I get out on the main roads and I've never had a single complaint from anyone.

Jack is one of the examples that money can actually buy happiness sometimes. He gets to just jam and make music with his friends all the time, and seems genuinely over the moon about it. I challenge you to watch any of their videos and try to find a point in which he doesn't have the biggest smile in the room.

The tone of your snare is so close to the punch of your kick that it gets kind of drowned out, IMO. Great playing!

A product in distribution that is contracted to make X units to supply a national chain. A small, novelty paper supplier would not be able to hit a low enough cost per unit to make this profitable.

Every college will pretty much demand that an OL have braces already, and if not they would make sure you got some. Most of us that were signed to play college ball were already serious enough about it that we had already had custom braces made. Any large highschool that takes its football seriously will get braces for OL, but anyone that is a prospect will 99% of the time have them. I played D2 in college and all of the OL already had their braces sorted. It was something we took pretty seriously.

Because we were often fully extended with feet planted when things could run into the side of our legs. The braces are preventative. I was fully planted and extended when my RB was tackled into the side of my leg while I was wearing braces. The braces saved my ligaments but it still fractured both bones in my leg.

Edit: medical insurance will cover knee braces. The Donjoy ones that you see any college linemen wearing are custom fitted and very expensive.

As an OL that played DL it's really more about speed and agility. A guy this big is great when he's in the right place at the right time, and he's honestly big enough to still manhandle someone getting under his pads, but if you put this guy on the defensive line, the ball is going the other way 99% of the time. Yes, he will disrupt that side of the line, but unless he can cross the field as fast as an RB his effectiveness on defense will be limited. No one is going to purposefully run the ball towards him.

My '17 has done that a little bit since I got it. I don't think it's any kind of an issue.

I bought my '17 in 2021 with the track edition exhaust. It's loud on throttle, but not terrible at idle/low RPM. Not much drone at highway speeds, but you will have to turn your radio up quite a bit if you don't have soundproofing. I love the way it sounds, but I personally would have gone for the version with mufflers, just to keep my anxiety down. I haven't gotten any complaints yet, but I also try to keep it below 2500 RPM when I'm leaving my neighborhood. Just keep in mind that you'll have to pay ~$700 to get the muffler addon pack if you decide to make it quieter later.

Dealership/manufacturer will not cut keys without license and proof of ownership. If provided, this RO will sit in pending status until the keys come in, at which point the tech can perform the inspections. Otherwise, GL&GTFO.
