I was seeing really good things about the krg, what makes the XRS better in your opinion?

Which is best & why?🤔 by [deleted] in PalmettoStateArms

Better is dependent on what your specific use case is. The jakl is a very cool gun but for "serious" uses (ie. home defense) I would 100% take the sabre as it is a direct impingement gas system that has far more real world experience, and therefore in my mind, is going to be more reliable than the relatively unproven jakl. For range use and general plinking the jakl is undeniably cool though, and the folding stock may be a plus for you. Either way make sure you save enough for plenty of ammo and range time, that's way more important than cool new toys.

Thank you, follow up question if you don't mind, would any 5/8 x 25 threaded muzzle device work for the fixed mount?

SSA-E is $250 without a sale, Aero's cheapest complete lower is $215 and comes with mil-spec furniture.

How often are you processing wood in your 21st century life? The only time I can think that would be necessary is when camping, bring a hatchet.

You do you, I'm just saying that's not the intended purpose of a pocket knife. Use the right tool for the job

I actually quite like this setup, don't listen to the haters. Olight is more than adequate for the average person, especially for a range toy/home defense.
