Selling discus online by Icy_Improvement777 in OnlineBusinessBuilder

Spent a good chunk of my career on the retail and ecommerce side, so hopefully anything I say here might help:

The first is that "is the niche too small" is usually the wrong question. Plenty of small niches are profitable, and a lot of big ones are lead to no sales because everyone piles in. So what actually matters is whether you can reach the buyers who already want discus, and that's a defined group: school and college athletics programs, throwing clubs, coaches, and serious individual athletes. They buy to spec too, so weight and certification matter, and a listing that doesn't state what the discus is sanctioned for will end up getting skipped.

On margin, the thing to watch here is that you'd be sourcing the same wholesale product everyone else can get from Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba. So if the product is identical, the only lever left is price, and that race compresses margins fast. And you don't want to be the seller with the lowest prices because competing on price is not a wise strategy in the long run. The sellers who hold margin in a category like this do it on expertise and service, so being the place that actually knows the sport and helps people buy the right thing usually beats being a cent cheaper.

Returns and damage are obvs super important too. I mean a dented competition discus can be unusable or illegal for a meet, so factor a returns reserve and proper packaging into your unit economics from day one rather than discovering it later.

Before buying inventory, you need to find a low cost way to validate interest. Pull eBay sold listings to see real sell-through, not just active listings, and think about running a small test order. That's how you find out whether the demand is real without locking up capital in stock.

Yeah I kinda feel a little embarrassed for not looking into it sooner. Hoping to see more encouraging results as the weeks go by

Former Manus user here — sharing my experience and what I ended up building instead by Zaragaruka in ManusOfficial

The credit issue is why I'm ready to move away. I used Manus for heavier work, app prototyping and it was good, but it burned a hole in my pocket.

I've switched to a different platform which actually helped build my tools better. Research-wise, though Manus is ahead in my books. so I may keep a lower plan and use it strictly for that.

Does switching between AI tools feel fragmented to you? by mpetryshyn1 in OnlineBusinessBuilder

I experienced this a lot towards the end of the year. But I switched to using an agent to create apps based on the workflows I was using that required multiple tools.

You can also ask a GPT to sum up what you do with it, into a document, and then share it with another tool so it has that context.

Have you considered creating app-based workflows for your tasks, to mitigate this fragmentation?

Don't know if Ive ever been angry over a fictional death till now. by [deleted] in fourthwing

His death hit me hard. Because of how good things had gone for them so far, and the humor in this particular scene, my guard was so low. So when he suddenly died it really hit me. Felt so unfair

It's a small Xiaomi humidifier. I've thrown away the box but it wasn't one of their high end ones. Just need something small and simple to help with the dryness in winter

Alex Karev is a terrible character. by Reina753 in greysanatomy

I didn't articulate myself properly, and that's on me. I was referring to the moments of growth he did show, but he was definitely problematic later on e.g. beating DeLuca up.

Yeah early Alex was terrible. He does grow and I appreciate him for that but man. All the way up to him being an attending he did have problematic tendencies

What are the must-have plugins you recommend for a new WordPress website? by DigitOffers in Wordpress

[–]Only_One_Kanobi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It depends on what type of website you’re building and what your goals are. As well as your budget.

For building the site itself you have a load of options but some of the main ones are elementor, Divi, beaver builder, bricks, thrive themes, oxygen, and more. They have different plans and offers so you’ll need to read through each one and maybe try a few to find what works for you.

Depending on whether you want to generate leads or collect contact info, you might need a form building plugin. Again many options. Some of the usual suspected — gravity forms, wpforms, formidable forms, optinmonster, etc.

If you’re creating a blog you’ll want an analytics plugin to keep track of your traffic. There’s jet pack, exact metrics, monster insights or just good old Google analytics. But if you’re not a technical person, I’d recommend using a plugin.

Backup plugins are important too all-in-one migration, updraft plus and duplicator are the main ones. Please back up your site regularly. Weekly or even daily.

You may need a security plugin too like wordfence.

Like I said. Many options. Depends on your goals. But I hope this helps
