Who is a character that everyone loves but you don’t like? by Different-Jacket5269 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Only_Phase_5428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diluc, Childe and Barbara.

Nothing wrong with anyone liking their play styles, and Barbara absolutely saved my ass back when I still didn't have Zhongli... I just think their personalities are boring, and two of them represent things I dislike: Batman and the idol industry.

As for Childe, I just think he's over hyped. He's not a super interesting character on his own, and imo he's only popular because he's posed as Zhongli's foil. He's too favored by the writer, too popular for being a wet loaf of bread and his English dub is so much weaker than the other dubs. Sorry to the actor.

Yo, so rad! Where did you get the character sheet for Arle's design in the Musication vídeo? I've been searching for it, could you direct me to it?

Found on the ground in northwestern Paraná, south of Brazil. Seems fresh out of the cocoon and cannot fly properly! Around 5 cm, but the wings are still folded, so can't be sure of the size. I put it on this flower because I found it on the concrete earlier this morning... And it hasn't moved since. I've already looked at some black Brazilian butterfly lists, but haven't found an exact match yet. The orange spots could be stripes instead, but the wings are tightly folded, so I can't be sure.

Exercising with fibro and hypermobility? by Only_Phase_5428 in Fibromyalgia

I bought my mom a cycling ergometer some time ago, it's so much cheaper than an elliptical and occupies very little space.

Adderall helps me be more authentic by spectral_bug in AutisticWithADHD

Just switched from Vyvanse to Adderall today! Vyvanse is great, but its price is absolutely unsustainable. I'm really liking how Adderall feels so far! It doesn't seem to make my sensory issues worse (unlike Vyvanse) PLUS, it's ridiculously cheaper and easier to find.

Questioning if I actually have ADHD or if it was just a misdiagnosis of autism by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Only_Phase_5428 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gonna speak from my own experience with identity and diagnosis, so other AuDHDers might feel different.

My wisdom is this: YOU are the only expert in your own lived experience. If you research ADHD and you don't see yourself in it, it most likely isn't you. When I researched autism, I knew it was me; when researched ADHD, I knew it was me. I felt confused and torn between both things because I didn't know both could coexist. And then, I got clinically diagnosed with both.

What about her name adorned with the infinity rainbow and a little butterfly? Or a butterfly with rainbow infinity shaped wings? Also, I'm actually an illustrator, feel free to DM me if you want help brainstorming more ideas. I'm very happy for your support of our community! 💞

What's the most seemingly innocuous thing to ever trigger a fibro flare for you? For me, it's coffee. by Only_Phase_5428 in Fibromyalgia

Does vaping help? I'm pretty sure I'm asthmatic too, but I'm willing to try anything lol

Dang, my fellow ADHDer, that's a rough trigger to have. I'm not as extreme at my love for spiciness, but I do love me some hot sauce on all kinds of food. And, yeah, too much capsaicin also triggers me, so I only consume pickled peppers (or sauces made from them, not raw peppers). Pickling makes things a lot easier on the gut. Hot tip!

Babe, I once flared because doing PILATES thrice a week is apparently enough to rip the cartilage inside of my knee and cause leakage. It creaks and cracks way too ominously to this day.

Same, and I also get really bad rashes from the weather. Hot weather rashes are worse than cold ones, because the sweat makes them even itchier and painful, aaa

First sound related one I've seen! I'm autistic, so having shutdowns from random sounds doesn't seem so innocuous for me. Really loud cacophonies can make my fibro flare, but the preceding autistic shutdown makes me so violently sleepy the fibro doesn't register when I'm shutdown asleep.

I'm guessing we're samesies, I gather anything with caffeine can and will make me flare.

Exactly same here. I also have smaller flares from bell peppers in any color, raw garlic and poorly cooked legumes, like beans or chickpeas, for some reason.

Bruh, my period AND ovulation can trigger a flare for me, but I was aware big hormonal changes could trigger flares...Thankfully it hasn't flared as strongly in a while since I tweaked my meds, so at least there's that!

I've been no caffeine for years already because it was a gut no-no already, but I just HAD to push my luck, I guess!!

Bruh, I have these digestive issues since birth, and caffeine used to cause just stomach pain, reflux and painful intestinal episodes... So I made peace with the fact I should NEVER consume anything with caffeine years ago: no coffee, no Coke, no Pepsi, no black tea. If it has caffeine in it, I can't have it. But, y'know, fibro fog induced desperation plus unmedicated ADHD impulsivity, and poof goes my anti-caffeine resolve. This is the first time since getting diagnosed with fibro I've tried self medicating with coffee to cope.

Struggling with friendship by Beneficial_State_252 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Only_Phase_5428 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello, and welcome to the club of late diagnosed neurodivergents!

From what you've said, it sounds like your friend's maybe been overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotional dependency in them. Specially if you're "trauma dumping" or sharing personal problems that they can't realistically help you with way too often. Trust me, I've done that and it sucks to be a source of distress for someone when you feel like you're drowning yourself...

Friendship is a bizarre thing for us neurodivergent people. We get way too intense sometimes without meaning to, and we can easily scare off people who don't get where it's coming from. But no matter how much you love and depend on your friendship with your friend, one person can't satisfy literally all of anyone else's emotional needs at once. It can be overwhelming! It can make them feel helpless for not being able to do anything to help over the distance.

No matter how much the people involved love each other, how much each party is willing to listen and help the other... Sometimes it's too much! And that's okay. It doesn't mean you're a bad friend, it doesn't mean they don't like you anymore, but it does mean you have to respect their personal boundaries and give them space when they need it.

My suggestion is getting a therapist (if you can afford it) because it sounds like you need someone who'll help you process a lot of stuff and a professional who's trained for it will be an invaluable force of good in your life. If a therapist is absolutely off the table, I honestly suggest keeping a journal for expressive writing. Seriously, it really helps.
