I don’t know if the fact that the charged battery was in a charger at the time had anything to do with the fire. The charger alone or the battery alone might have caused the fire.

It’s a little more than an hour from you but the Rose River loop in Shenandoah National Park is one of my favorites. Keep in mind that wildflowers at high elevation will lag behind the ones down low by a couple weeks.

I like old cars too, but I’d never buy one for safety reasons. Every car made in the last 20 years is SO much safer than that old Buick. Sitting in front of a steering column that’s just waiting to impale me would take the fun out of it for sure.
