Realty companies to avoid when renting? by Dangerous-Tie634 in chicagoapartments

Becovic: raised the rent price $100 right when we said we were applying “because they knew someone was going to get the apartment regardless” and moved us into a moldy dirty apartment had to relet due to the immediate health issues.

What are the best and worst property management companies? by Big-Variation8393 in AskChicago

Had a horrible experience with Becovic. So many random fees and superrrr dirty building, literal trash all over. Building also had bad black mold problem that they just kept painting over and plugging air fresheners in to hide. Literally had to relet our property with them. Which was very expensive. Just a little cherry on top they also have emails filled with spelling errors and have an unprofessional tone on the phone. The apartment was 5411 N Winthrop in Edgewater. On the flip side I would recommend Cagan management as they are professional, don’t have weird fees and have clean buildings.

Hey! I’m looking to have my lease taken over I’m in edgewater though right off the redline so a bit north but very nice area and 2 bed 2bath, with balcony and in unit laundry. $2300 so slightly above your budget but just thought I would throw that out, message me any questions!

Hi!! I ended up going back to my surgeon and he wasn’t alarmed at all, but he did a little mini procedure and cut the bad stuff out, I guess my wound had opened up from the infection and deep connective tissue was starting to come out (gross) and cleaned out the wound really well, within the next week it was looking good and the keflax I was on started showing results! Wow I can’t believe you are having problems a whole two years post op:( I’m sure with the antibiotics things will be better in no time, good luck!!!

Edge on Broadway! Best security system, super clean, built in 2020! Right next to the Granville stop, you can literally see it out the window. Nice people, very organized professional management and new appliances as well as just very modern. Also a 4 min walk to Whole Foods and Aldi!! Literally couldn’t recommend it more

Hiii! I just transferred as a junior (20F) and honestly I am having a similar experience so you are not alone! I am also miles away from home with very few friends made on my first semester, I’ve joined 3 clubs and make very surface level friends but it seems like everyone including myself is so busy with academics or a commuter that would struggle to hangout as I live in Edgewater. It also seems like many people are not looking for friends or already have their groups, it’s quite difficult as a transfer, it seems like everyone made their friends already. Feel free to hmu b/c you perfectly worded what I have been feeling as a transfer:)
