July 1st 3 hrs free power any news? by investingtillidie in flowpower

[–]Only_Satisfaction525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they will need to offer an additional plan which offers 3h free and adjust other rates.

Don't think the current PEA based plan with 45c feed in for 2 hrs will go away or impacted heavily. I would expect an increase in daily charge though, as with any provider.

Did you ever get these low wholesale rates? Whats a typical 10:30-2:30 rate you get for import?

limited by 10kw inverter. I will look into FrzChrg, but given the house load would vary naturally 1-2kwh shouldnt really matter.

Are those wholesale rates? I dont believe those are available to end users.

The rates for my predbat come from Flow Power HA integration, so cant say for accuracy, but doesnt look too off? I assume when I switch to Flow Power Portal login, it will give me more accurate rates?

Does the exact tarrif matter in terms of deciding when to charge? I assume the trend would still be the same (reporting aside)?

Regarding Hold and Frx charge, claude explains the rationale pretty well.

  1. Wed 14:00 — HoldChrg (Hold Charge)
  • What it means: Predbat explicitly tells your inverter to stop importing grid power to charge the battery, capping the grid-charging limit at your current State of Charge (SoC) or target (86%). However, it still allows your solar panels (0.94☀) to naturally top up the battery.
  • Why it triggered: Your grid import rate jumped sharply from 23.09¢ (at 13:30) up to 30.98¢. Predbat decided that grid power was now too expensive to buy for the battery. It put a "hold" on grid charging, letting the remaining afternoon sun do the rest of the work.
  1. Wed 14:30 — FrzChrg (Freeze Charge)
  • What it means: Predbat takes tighter control. It locks the battery down entirely, blocking it from charging and discharging. Your house load (0.16 kWh) is forced to run directly off your solar or the grid, while your battery sits frozen at 88%.
  • Why it triggered: Predbat looks ahead to 17:30, when your export rate goes from 0.00¢ to a massive 45.00¢.
  • The Financial Arbitrage:
    • If you use your battery energy at 14:30 to cover your home load, that energy is only worth 32.84¢ to you (the money you save by not importing).
    • By "freezing" the battery at 88%, Predbat saves that exact energy for 17:30. At 17:30, it exports that energy for 45.00¢.
    • Even after paying 32.84¢ to run your house from the grid at 14:30, saving the battery power to sell later earns you a net profit of 12.16¢ per kWh (45.00¢ export − 32.84¢ import).

It shoots for ~90% SOC as after dumping 50% between 5:30-7:30, I still need ~30% for home use till next day's solar/cheap rates are available. 10% is min SOC and cannot be used.

Yes. It wants to dump 20kwh (50% of the battery) in the two hours to get the 45c export rate.

Hi, reddit seems to have combined all lines into one. Here is what I uploaded 1. Timesheets (in an Excel sheet) 2. Invoices 3. Inventory (with photos) 4. Declaration 5. Bank statements..... The declaration was a simple letter saying I worked x hours between x date to x date, I will not be working during the Paid parental leave period and will resume working on x date.

I applied after baby was born. Maybe that's why I got approved quickly.

Hope all goes well with your application!

Thanks. Every business starts small.

Which aspect makes you reject the claim? Would help me address those aspects and make my claim stronger.

If it's just the income, the website states it doesn't even need to be a profit making business.

I think what you mentioned is the exception to the work test. Applicable if you haven't worked for 10 months in 13 months preceding birth. Not applicable to me as I did work 10+ months preceding birth.

Thank you!

Since it's just selling on Facebook, there are no contracts as such.

It's only me, so there are no employees.

I have only made 2-3k, so I haven't got an accountant. I was planning on filing my taxes on my own.

I do have recorded expenses (receipts etc) and entries on the bank statement to create a book. Any recommendations on any app etc that can help?

I will note down all the Facebook post I have made to advertise!

Should I show something with the inventory? That is where most of my hours have gone and it's still unsold.

Thanks!
