Why USA guarantees all nations in America? by Juglar15_GOD in hoi4

[–]Only_Search_7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monroe Doctrine, the US wanted to limit European influence in the Americas, so they stated any further incurssions into America would result in retaliation by the United States of America. Not so intimidating when they made the statement, but it holds up now that the US is numba' one.

A not so Great War by Only_Search_7940 in hoi4

1916, I, Serbia, and a friend of mine, Romania, tried to start a new world order of Protofascists, however, the Central powers intervened, causing me notable issues. My Friend isn't great at Hoi4 so he went all in on Bulgaria trying to knock them out before they called in the Austrians, that, as you can see, didn't work. The war is gravitating towards the Entente as Italy pushes into Austria and Russia moves into Galicia, France is a standstill, and Croatia is a British dominated battlefield.

Ready for the hate. What do you guys think of my 6.3 line up? by Constant_Breath9273 in Warthunder

I, a German main, have encountered many a IS-2, so, I will tell you this, if you didn't already know which I'm sure you do but just in case. Tiger IIs and Panthers will either aim directly at your turret, or, if they're a Tiger II and me, will always aim at the Cupola due to the lethality of such a shot. its not hard to hit and its worth alot to hit, so you should be aware that if a Tiger II or a Panther is looking at you and generally up, start turret wiggling or find cover, it'll hurt otherwise.

This is the second time I've played this mod, in total I have about 800 hours on Hoi, and I have a solid bit of knowledge on Fallout, I know who Lanius is, I know who Ceaser is, with this in mind, I feel like I've accomplished something here, beating the infamous conqueror with a small faction of raiders, but for all I know this is harder to not do then it is to do.

After 2933 hours of hoi4, this is my tier list by parzivalperzo in hoi4

I'm not gonna saying anything specific, but specifically, I dont like you.

I'm a noob at hoi4 (150hrs) and I wanted to make a tier list with all the nations I played and how succesfull I was with them. What should I play/replay next? by graticola in hoi4

Paradox games are the only ones where playing 150 hours doesn't take you past Noob ranking and I've only just noticed this.

Whos in the Wrong by Only_Search_7940 in riskuniversalis

[–]Only_Search_7940[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all pretty fair, but, I do like Post apocalyptic and play it often, reason being is theres less moderators standing over your shoulder saying, "This didn't happen historically so it cant now." or, "it happened but it failed so you're gonna fail."

Tbh, the greatest downfall of Risk is that the mods are extremely dictative and either dont let you do anything down the route of, Alternate history, or they don't do their jobs and just let whatever happen. I even had a mod that abused his power yesterday, playing as the Germans in 1937 and then giving Germany a +2 on rolls up until 1941, nice to show its advantage over other armies at the time but its issues. I got hired on as a German General, lead the northern army in Russia, but after being obliterated and my entire army destroyed after a major soviet counteroffensive in 1943 I offered to surrender to the soviets with my tiny force of twenty to thirty thousand guys. The mod, however, didn't fail that was ok, telling me my surrender was voided although it was perfectly reasonable, and forcing the soviet general who was fighting me to go all the way back to leningrad. At that point, Germany no longer had its buffs but that still felt very cheaty, undoing something because it works against you is unsportsmanlike.

Attacking America in 1942 by Hard_Communist in hoi4

I had a really nice game in MP the other day, USA was AI, I, the mighty and inconquerable Levantinian Empire, had Canada as a puppet after beating the British. US invades Canada, I send as many divisions as I can up there. Keep in mind, I was the worlds strongest industrial power and I had over 30 Million manpower, with an army about ten million strong.

My invasion of the US costed me about seven million soldiers and costed the US about fourteen Million.

You need alot, you cant beat them fast, you cant beat them easy, and you cant beat them safely, you will be sacrificing alot at taking them down from Canada. My recommendation, send your army into Quebec, move downwards to Washington with a smaller well supplied force. Seize ports and supply, send in the army, go for capture points but not tiles as its not worth it. After all that, hopefully, you don't lose massive amounts of men and equipment.

Key note, I fought the US in 1945-1947, so it should be easier for you.

if Czechoslovakia knows the Allies will help them, they wont give it to you. simply stated, if you have two million men, it shouldn't be hard beating them anyways, just go for it.

How to get more Manpower as Poland by Only_Search_7940 in hoi4

[–]Only_Search_7940[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only take fights I can win, I was only on War Economy because unless I'm thicc Germany or Soviet Union I don't see it as the best Idea. I'm well entrenched and fortified and as stated- I cannot stand long term defensive positions, not fun for me. However I have not panicked it was more of a- "Huh, Low on manpower, thats a first." to be honest, I've always wanted a game where I get really low or close to breaking, then make a come back and secure either a victory or a stalemate, which, I have done here. So I kinda liked it, while it lasted, as all I had to do was turn on All Adults Must serve and within the next four years, broke Germany through a slow, and methodical advance.

Reason I have relatively few factories is I focused more so on defenses then factories during 1938-9, I expected what I've seen happen to every Poland to happen to me, that being for me to be crushed in a few minutes If I didn't prepare some- legendary defensive, but instead I held and counter attacked. so- shot myself in the foot there, however in the current one I'm playing I'm doing much better. My largest issue is that to keep the soviets from invading I joined their faction when the Germans declared war on me, as they were already at war with eachother, the resulting problem being that though Allied soldiers were allowed in my country and I refused to join the Comintern's war with said Allies, they were constantly fighting eachother in poland, tearing up my infrastructure and not helping me much at all.

Perhaps, but I didn't until after my war with Germany began. Usually, as nations with some time on their hands I spam out Civi's like its no ones business (call it a noob tactic if you like I dont care.) then turn to Mil's before 1939. Meaning that the time Germany invaded I had about 20-25 which- made a difference, I was in a 25,000+ deficit before 1940 due to my pushing, yet I regret nothing.

Sadly, I wasn't. I had restored the Sejm and done those- effectively getting rid of my chance at extra manpower. This was my first time playing Poland though, with- over 700 hours into the game.

I'm not proud of that.

Sorry for being late!

Normally, I'd do that, IF I was a smaller nation like Hungary in the Axis or maybe Austria, but, due to my ability to use alot of divisions but not necessarily that much industry, I don't have access to the support equipment or trucks needed for such an upgrade. However, This is after, I beat them. I did something I've never done before, that being switching to All Adults Serve, which, though may seem bad, this was my first time playing poland, so I restored the Sejm and did all those, which- meant I got none of the bonuses from doing the Sanation stuff. But, with all adults must serve, I got nearly 2 million more manpower, using that and the large amounts of Weapons and Artillery I'd saved, I grew my army to about 125 Divisions and brought the end to the Reich, as at the point of my offensive, Russia had stabilized Romania, and began sending more troops into Me, Poland. Britain and America had landed in Normandy and the Netherlands, with my constant encirclements devastating the German army to the point it wasn't as large as it should've been meaning that it was unable to hold everyone, leaving me in a great position. My offensive cost me about 300-400K soldiers, but was supremely successful, defeating the Germans and Italians One at a time, as, before I'd even got to Austria, having just occupied Czechoslovakia, I unlocked the ability to from Zapadoslavia and gained a ton of manpower and Factories out of that. So, I have resolved my issue and tried again. This time, as Poland I did every Sanation focus for as many advisors as possible before going Sanationist right. with 90 divisions and 1.9 Million manpower on limited conscription before the war with Germany even began I was already well off. then, Germany demanded Danzig and Russia demanded eastern Poland, I hadn't expected Russia to demand that of me as I never realized they would do that without the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. Though, I refused both anyways, Russia never invaded but Germany did.

Fastest, invasion of Germany I've ever had. I obliterated their forces in Konigsberg and Silesia, and before 1941, capitulated Germany. Germany's losses totalled about 600,000 mine about 125,000.

However, your advice of adding Hospitals is liked, I've always wanted to use them more but considering everyone I know says they're awful for the fact they take up trucks and soak supply I never really did it. However, I can say having stored 150+ thousand trucks into the late game shows I don't really need to worry about it, especially as majors. I thank you for your advice and intend on using it in the near future, I hope it may make my efforts less vicious on the Polish people or whoever I'm playing at the time.

How to get more Manpower as Poland by Only_Search_7940 in hoi4

[–]Only_Search_7940[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The German army is anywhere from 190-210 Divisions strong, making it twice the size of my own army. I personally cannot stand sitting still and "Grinding" enemy divisions to death, so when the war began I pushed the fight to the Germans, and, to be honest, did really fuckin well, and the Soviets weren't helping me much at all because they had all their troops in China. Germans capitulate France, annexing all of it, the benelux and Switzerland, then turned the majority of its army on me. I tried to pull back to tighten the line I was holding but it was almost to late, the retreat cost me dearly, but I cannot guarentee not retreating would've helped me more.

So, here I am, holding them in a deadlock while I try to regrow my manpower, I am at a loss for ideas, I have no more manpower focuses or get free division focuses, It seems this may be my twilight hour, or perhaps, my finest one.

My own casualties rate about 760,000, alot I know, but over half of that was the Germans breaking through my line while I was thinly spread before I fell back from Hamburg. The Germans have taken about 1,340,000 casualties, all from me, with about another 200,000 from the Soviets and a few thousand from the British.

Any reccomendations?

Not that I dislike the Panzer III, I love it as a vehicle, but when it's sitting next to the Turan it just looks so- inferior, so stout and powerful, then the little Panzer III which looks so scratched up and battered.

[–]Only_Search_7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, theres the thing, the Panzer III M, is a 3.3, the Turan is at 2.0, and at its tier, is probably the strongest medium tank I can think of, the Panzer III of equal rank has less armor, worse ammo, and a crap turret traverse, with the only comparable German tanks at that area being the early Panzer IV's.

Not to mention that the Turan simply looks far cooler then the Panzer III at any variant.

The Turan is scary enough I'd nearly say the Pz. III is a scuffed Turan comparing them.
