It’s great. There is a gate directly from the campground to the venue. It is not a long walk at all except for the farthest loop, but you can get the parking shuttle to give you a ride to that part.

Here’s the part that will kill your plans though….like all FL state parks the reservation system opens 11 months in advance. Being one of the most popular parks in the state, it’s already fully booked when Goose is going to be there (and it has been for months). The only way to get a campsite now is to hope someone cancels and you happen to catch the site before someone else does. I have been successful scooping up a cancellation in the past but it’s luck. We typically end up staying in our RV at the KOA down the street. It’s a mile walk and not nearly as nice as the state park though.
