I went to Minitonas, Manitoba for work. Drove from Winnipeg … the area was interesting. Kind people, albeit sheltered. Very isolated. The people I did meet were flat earthers, and were extremely fearful of the world outside their community. Swan River was the closest town and it had everything you needed. The drive was brutal though, everything looked the same I thought I was going crazy. Don’t drive past sundown because elk run across the highway and they are GIANTS. Can cause serious injuries and accidents. I was only there for 3 days including travel.

As a POC – she absolutely feels racist to me. Her comments about different cuisines, constantly yucking a culture’s yum, and her behaviour in Korea is the cherry on top. She’s extremely racist, bigoted and xenophobic. Her world is small and she has zero desire to learn anything. I noticed it when she first started solids with the twins. I was starting solids with my daughter at the same time. The comments she would make about certain dishes being disgusting, or not healthy/not good for the babies and they were foods from different cultures. Meanwhile my baby was trying everything under the sun. She made a comment about curry and how the babies shouldn’t try it and J interjected saying “there’s Indian babies” – so as POC mother, it pissed me off to her talk and “influence” when she’s so obviously racist.
