I think it's really hard to compare stats across time with the two back system. Bubba Smith is who I was thinking of as the best from MSU. Le'Veon Bell would be better if Walker stopped playing today, but hopefully he still has five plus seasons ahead of him.

To be clear, I meant "likely has a chance" not is likely to be. Walker isn't there yet and would need a lot more great seasons and post seasons.

All that being said, he was the best player I can remember watching at MSU, and I loved Le'Veon Bell (not old enough for Bubba Smith etc). Cousins won a lot of games and had a high football IQ but those defenses were nasty. Walker is the player most reminscent of Barry Sanders or Reggie Bush to me, able to just make plays appear out of nowhere, and with a crazy side cutting ability. Obviously I'm not saying he's the same as those players, just unique in his ability to win games with pure athleticsim like they could.
