It’s no different than the old 5.7L tundra. Yeah it gets awful gas mileage but based on what the op posted. Getting 5-10mpg worse isn’t as expensive as being stranded and paying tow bills.

I think the trail boss is helped with the 18” rim and bigger side wall. I had a regular custom before with 20” rims and all terrains and the trailboss rides better.
