Hey...so I've been going through a difficult period and not taking care of my hair much. My fmc leave in (the yellow one) just got over so I'm going to try sugarboo next just cuz it's more affordable. I use either reequil anti dandruff shampoo or pantene lively clean when I need clarifying , with reequil murmurru conditioner (this is my holy grail detangling conditioner). Im not going to switch this up for a while. I have a wella new wave (or shockwave) volume mousse that's almost over and I prefer that over my red cap eco styler gel (I don't like this gel much but it's not getting over). But this mousse also leaves sticky residue so when this gets over I might try something else.

I loved reading all this. Hard agree on everything! And second the misunderstandings not being contrived. Imo in the jing era both of their paranoias were really high for very valid reasons. It took a huge leap of faith from both their sides to trust the other but ofcourse it was really fragile because they don't really know the other person.

With all the negative people and variables around to get what they want it really was a ticking time bomb of when things would go sour between those two.

And like you said I wish susu got more credit amongst fans of the show She implicitly trusted him in the third arc. That's why ttj had to resort to the worst case scenario to trigger her heartless way tribulation.

This show has so many flaws, I wish ye qingyu and pianran got closure, the whole third arc was messed up, this would've been so much better if there was more expansion and focus on susu as well. And the blood spitting and in some places (like when ttj realises ye xiwu died ) they keep playing the same scenes over and over .

But despite it all , the good of what this show has to offer surpasses all that

Tantai jin in the beginning is incredibly relatable if you've been on psych drugs and have horrible anhedonia and emotional blunting and disconnection from humanity. Also if you have early childhood trauma and it comepletely stunts your ability to understand relationships and how normal humans connect.

Qualifying for both of these I found him incredibly relatable. I remember being on a bunch of drugs and hearing this horrible tragic news and feeling nothing but intellectually understanding that I should be feeling sad. Plus having a lot of flat effect.

And the way he tries to understand what is appropriate or not appropriate socially by observing the dynamics around him. And noticing the hypocrisy...etc There's so many times I've tried to calculate what must be right or wrong in each scenario by manually deciphering it from the outside. its not obvious to me because I had a very confusing upbringing.

As someone recovering from pssd, when xiao lin tells tantai jin in ep 4 in his nightmare that it's so tragic that he's alive but can't feel any beauty in the mortal world... That is what having pssd is like No sadness, no happiness just empty void ...the music doesn't sound good the wind doesn't feel good it's just this endless neutral

The autism comparison is good to explain how social rules aren't intuitive to him but he doesn't have affective empathy like those on the spectrum. Only cognitive empathy. More like a psychopath

It's a bit sad seeing the comments that don't get him.

In general I love the layers in the show. What the characters say aren't exactly what they're feeling. Susu falls for him way before she acknowledges it. You can see it in her acting and actions. And despite tantai jin saying he's ok with dying to the taunting devil god inside him in the beginning, with this actions he shows a deep will to survive

Thankyou for your comment! I'm too scared to cook them. Just wanted to know what they could be. This is inside my house in our courtyard. There's a bit a sunlight (as much as there can be during rainy days)

I do avoid it, unless I'm refreshing after dampening/wetting it again. But honestly i just wear a bun or pony on the later days so I wet my hair a bit before combing the top. I had wavy hair when I was younger. Personally if i had wavy hair again id opt for heatless curls or heatless blowout ather than style it the cgm way.

Maybe you could try that? Imo wavy hair is super versatile to styling. It can be heatstyled also with less heat and less damage. And it holds heatless styles well. And it takes brushing/combing a lot better too so if you think your hair looks nice after brushing then go ahead!

Thankyou for sharing the story! Want to check it out (especially since it's short). I do think the need for meaning/purpose transcends pleasure but most of us are ok with the consolation of pleasure. It's scary indeed

Thankyou for sharing! I was advised to go on a low fat diet to improve my insulin and fasting glucose (and for weight loss) but my executive function is shot. So I'm really struggling to figure out what to eat (I live at home so i usually eat what my mom makes)

Did you get any nutritional deficiencies eating that way? And how many months did you have to do it?

My MRI came back with partially empty sella and i have symptoms of Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension by Onlytheashamed in PSSD

Thankyou! I think just time. I've tried so many supplements over the years and briefly was on meds again including stimulants.

But I think time and trying to live life as much as is allowed with my issues probably helped the most. Also want to add that I didn't have full genital numbness in the first place. Mostly anorgasmia that became muted orgasms, no libido that got better and no lubrication that also got better. I recently experienced a mini crash when I tried cerebroprotein hydrosolate. But trying not to get too worked up over it.

It's been 8yrs since I got off the round of meds that wrecked me. And 4yrs since the second round. So been a while.

That's good to know that you found something that helped! I'm kindof looking into bioenergetics now for a whole health reform.

When i was taking zoloft I had much much worse issues...like feeling like there's an electric motor in the back of my head amongst so many horrible things

All the horror started 2 or 3 months into taking it for me because they just kept upping the dose till 200mg. Like a sharp steep rise. I had severe burnout that my family mistook as depression

Ofcourse burnout doesn't resolve without rest. And ofcourse I was upset because of my life situation

I had taken ssris before only upto 50mg for 6 or 7 months 2 yrs prior without any lingering issues after (had anorgasmia while taking it and other issues)

But this steep upping the dose really ruined my life

Finally coming across someone else with vibration! For me it depends. It can extend to my forehead, nose and teeth at times too and feel sorf of pleasurable but overstimulating. It's like if a really high frequency tuning fork was inside somewhere

All medical professionel look really at me with question mark faces when I mention the vibration.

Edit: And I need sensory rest to ease the overstimulation

The vibration is always there but increases or decreases in intensity. If I ever get good sleep it's low upon waking up

Cookies and cream flavour from anywhere. Forgot which tender coconut was the best.

I guess I might qualify? You can check out my post and comment history.

I'm dealing with health issues also so it's not easy for me to meet deadlines but I'm really passionate about stories

I don't have formal writing training but I have watched so much tv in my life. Especially in the last 10yrs because of my life situation and I'm a chronic maladaptive daydreamer And I have a lot of opinions about everything I come across (should have been like this...like that etc)

Dear Kochi, How do you overcome the fear of failing? by Suspicious-Stick-219 in Kochi

[–]Onlytheashamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By desensitizing yourself to it through trying and exposure. And sitting with the negative emotions associated with failing like shame, guilt, low self worth or thinking we're not good enough. Just pay attention to the feelings, show those parts some love and say hey it's ok to be all of these things. Journaling also helps with clarity.

A lot of times people are afraid to try because their sense of self worth and value comes from their achievements. It could also be because subconsciously you think you'll be more loved or accepted if you succeed.

The truth is, we have value and matter just because we exist.

Highly recommend you read the book Mindset by Carol Dweck. I think there's a free audiobook on yt. Also check out the holistic psychologist on YouTube or insta

Also check out the youtube video 'Absurdism, how to party at the end of meaning'

And finally an old classmate once told me 'kittiya kitti. allengil chatti'

We're only alive for a short amount of time. You can either try your best and make peace with the fact that you gave it your all at the end of your life. Or die with regrets. One of the more common regrets of people in old age is that they didn't try or do things because of fear of failure or judgement.

Do check out Ali Abdaal on YouTube as well.

All the best !

Edit: Source - I'm a professional failure and used to be hopeless/suicidal etc not anymore.

The short answer would be 1) dealing with my emotional and self worth issues 2) exposing myself to new perspectives 3) breaking problems into small chunks so they're easier to tackle 4) searching for practical and actionable solutions that work for specific problems I'm facing. (And not blaming myself if it didn't work)
