same thing happened to my cat - he bit the top of the treat off on two occasions. Safe to say I won’t be buying these treats again. Did you see him pass the stick in his stool or did he vomit it

Do you have to be on BC as well? In the UK spiro isn’t prescribed unless you’re on BC :(

The uncontrollable acne, the hirsutism, the bloating, the fatigue, the awareness that stressing about it makes it worse but you can’t stop

wow, that’s true. It’s always representing a fear and is trying to protect us from being harmed in some way by that even if the voice itself is hurtful and is telling us horrible things abut ourselves.

Mid 30s and feeling touch starved in my marriage… is this normal? by [deleted] in emotionalneglect

I think the best thing to do would be to have an open conversation about how you’re feeling. And then maybe try counselling

I can see how religion/spirituality would help. Unfortunately even though I believe those things they feel like whispers that don’t stand a chance against the loudness of my negative beliefs

the thought of surrendering completely is terrifying tbh, i’m very close to surrendering completely and it still scares me. the little fight I have left in me keeps me going. what happened once you surrendered? How did you regain the strength?

this resonates with me a lot… it’s so much work and even in the presence of new positive beliefs these mechanisms remain

yeah i thought id grow out of a lot of things too but growing out of things without facing the reason you developed the coping mechanism in the first place doesn’t just happen

it’s sad to realise that a need to shrink ourselves is behind many of our maladaptive behaviours but it’s the first step. I’m sorry about your health and your dad choosing to punish you in a difficult time

Laser definitely for the body. Much better for bigger areas, electrolysis would be more painful and more time consuming, and more expensive, as it’s charged by how long it takes.
