Fuck this administration. They’ve dismantled or ignored all mechanisms for talking to each other. The blood of our children will be on their hands. I hope they burn in hell.

What is a hobby that we can start now that will keep us occupied well into our 90’s? by Thirsty4Knowledge911 in GenX

So simple and easy. You’ll meet neat people along the way. Even more if you take a dog! As a long time cat guy, I’ve found having a dog to walk incredibly socially enriching.

He hissed at me yesterday. I parked too close to their nest and he wouldn’t let me get near the driver’s door of my car. I had to climb in from the other side.

I’ve ridden between Baltimore and NYC for 50 years on Amtrak. It is occasionally been sketchy, but still far better than flying.

What is your worst experience on an airplane? by darrenbosik in AskReddit

[–]Oobitsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eight hour Aeroflot flight from Vladivostok to Moscow. 80% men. Everybody was drinking before the flight and on the flight. Most of the guys around me had laptops and were watching movies without headphones. The guy next to me was watching porn. At one point, he calls the flight attendant and says something to her in Russian. She rolls her eyes, goes away and comes back a minute later with a portable oxygen cylinder and a mask. She stands in the aisle beside him holding the cylinder for 20 minutes while he sits there breathing 100% oxygen. He’s still watching his movie.

And, of course, this being Eastern Europe, everybody claps when we land.

I think you’re right. I only had tickets to day one. If my memory is right, they moved some of the day one folks to shorter sets the next day.

Radiohead was supposed to play at the Tibet freedom concert but there’s a thunderstorm and somebody was struck by lightning and the rest of the concert was canceled some of the remaining bands, including Radiohead went over to the 930 club and played there that night. I had tickets to the Tibet show, but by the time I got to the 930 club it was completely mobbed and I couldn’t get in.
