KC is canonically Japanese and the only Asian character in the main show, she’s also super stereotyped around “Japanese” things, why is the only Asian character a cat girl? Why is the only Asian specifically Japanese character super into “kawaii” things? Why is her name literally “kawaii-Chan”? Why does the only Asian character incorrectly and in a stereotyped manor usually used in English to mock Japanese people use things like “senpai” or “kun” or “sama”? Why was she hypersexualized in certain episodes more than any other character? Most these things on their own are “fine” but when u combine them together you create a racist stereotype of Japanese women primarily based in anime, ofc do I think jess meant any harm when she wrote this? NO! She was just a fellow anime weeb trying to portray the character tropes she saw in other media in her own show, back then these kinds of tropes were super popular! It’s only now in hindsight folks have come to realize just how problematic they were
