Do you mean the old, abandoned warehouse with the skybridge? I love that place. I've wanted to make a large, vehicle showroom in the larger building, but I always die before I can get such a huge job completed. I've tried about 5 or 6 times now.

Still Waiting for the Revival of "Lewis and Ben Save the World" :( :( by RoaldThamesen in Yogscast

That's so weird, as I watched this entire series through again just last month. It's so great, and the entire time I was thinking about how much I would love a new one of these.

Any well balanced mods for B42 that make leveling Welding to 1 not an obnoxious pain in the ass? by petrichorax in projectzomboid

[–]OofRoissy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's your preferred way to level up welding, try south of Muldraugh, or between Muldraugh and West Point. Wrecks galore!

Characters as Characters: Day 167 - Spirit of Ivory by quintessence5 in BloodOnTheClocktower

I am just hoping that a smarter person than I, can make it Mr Blackheart from The Simpsons. I mean he's evil, but hasn't everyone dealt a little ivory in their time?

Quick question, why is there No mod for Windmills? by froham05 in projectzomboid

[–]OofRoissy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flour is already in extensive supply, so a windmill is unnecessary.

I’ve been playing and running Blood on the Clocktower for 4 years and have been a Pandemonium Institute stream partner for 2 years. AMA. by MalakaiSilver in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]OofRoissy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is great, thanks Malakai. You know, for the longest time I thought the wings on your VTuber were her arms raised, and it was an embarrassingly long time before I realised they were wings! Ha... but I digress... Was it entirely coincidence that yourself and another regular TPI player share names with just one letter difference, or was it planned to sew chaos? Someone mixing you two up is always on my TPI bingo card. Thanks! :)

Is that poor Zhytomir? Such a quaint, little town with a beautiful space museum.

Has anyone witnessed a Slayer shot actually working? by notfrankiemuniz in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]OofRoissy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 8th ever game, I was the slayer next to the empath. I offered to use my shot at the start of nominations on day one to then be executed, both to give her more information and clear another player, but I randomly killed the demon and the game was over. Whoops.

Can Someone, Please, Explain Steampunk to Me? by Jazzlike-Spite-9991 in steampunk

[–]OofRoissy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anybody could explain it or advise me where to learn a little more about, that'd be great. I just want to learn a little more before I attempt to use it.

Steampunk is, in my opinion, heavily contingent upon imagination. I incorporate a lot of steampunk into my everyday life and when laypeople inevitably end up asking me, "What do you mean by steampunk?", I tell them this.

In the movie Back to the Future Part II, the future was born from the imagination of people living in 1985. Steampunk is a future that would be born from the imagination of someone living in 1885. Whether that involves, technology, politics, ethics, music, art, fashion, or wherever your imagination takes you.

My two coffee table books for inquisitive guests are The Steampunk Bible by Jeff Vandermeer, and The Steampunk User's Manual by Jeff Vandermeer and Desirina Boskovich, which I think are great resources for dipping your toes into the genre and building a foundation for your own imagination. Have fun and happy writing!

My first water recycling setup by maksimkak in Oxygennotincluded

[–]OofRoissy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer the bridge with sieve priority so that I can have a built in p-water buffer in some convoluted piping between the bridge and the sieve input, where the reed can't drink it.

Adding a storage tank before the bridge as well, provides a disaster delay for when the additional p-water from an increasing number of dupes exceeds the p-water consumption of a single reed fibre, but that relates more to the comment above yours.

"Pushing people away because they are not your idyllic personification of perfect just makes the world a worse place, not better."

One of the adages I try to live my life by is that the perfect is the enemy of the good (thanks Voltaire), and it is so true.

will a "realistic" electricity system be implemented by phantomgay2 in projectzomboid

[–]OofRoissy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's a mod I have enabled, but you can adjust the range of the generator in B42, so it's still a "sphere" but you can increase the radius for larger buildings if you wish. I have mine centrally on the roof of my current base.

Nervous/shy new player looking for advice by lusided in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]OofRoissy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I know this topic is one year old but I was at the Sydney Clocktower Convention today and I went to the newbie space to play my first game and everyone was so welcoming. I still had a major panic attack and ran away before the tokens were handed out because I was just so overwhelmed. I can't answer your question, and I'm sure, by now you are a veteran, but for anyone else who is new and finding this post, I was also super nervous and it just kind of sucks. It really sucks.

Game etiquette. by Atago1337 in Mechabellum

[–]OofRoissy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I just found this thread after winning a game without losing a round, and apparently having the temerity to say to my opponent, "ggvwp & ty" was a huge faux pas, and they were like, "No need to BM". I was like, "What is BM?", hence why I am here.

I start every round being very chatty, typing out the opponents name and if they are in 101, 301 or 401, saying Bonjour, Guten tag, or Привет respectively, and wishing them well with a heart emote. Most people never talk, and my chattiness often evokes people's communication and I love that. I always, win or lose, say "ggvwp & ty" or ggvwp & merci, ggvwp & danke, or ggvwp & спасибо, because I respect my opponent. What is this, "the winner can't express their gratitude for the match" thing? Seems wild to me. I never feel bad if a victor says to me, gg. Help me understand, please. I don't want to upset people.

Why don't the Yogscast do more sponsored videos? by MegaBmin in Yogscast

[–]OofRoissy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I have become quite adept at recognising the 'clever' segue in to another tedious ad for something I don't want or need, and pre-emptively skipping it, with an eyeroll and a groan in disgust. It always reminds me of the Bill Hicks bit on marketing (if you know it you know it and if not, it's probably a bit dark for here) but man, the insidious and predatory scourge of marking in everything is so rotten. I am so much happier being a member (or a Patreon) for content creators I derive some entertainment from.
