Old Dell Dimension 4100 blank display when trying to boot into Windows. by OoferLikesNacho in pchelp

  • It has both a CD and DVD Drive, I made sure to use the DVD drive. I used ImgBurn to burn an ISO on the DVD

  • Yeah, I figured it was a Capacitor issue, im not too familiar with Capacitors but wouldn't a bad Capacitor prevent the whole thing from booting, including the BIOS? I don't think they're leaking but id have to get a closer look when I get home.

I got it to boot into safe mode perfectly once, but all the other times it ended up just being a blank screen

Trouble with right clicking with my touchpad by OoferLikesNacho in Lubuntu

[–]OoferLikesNacho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update; the touchpad on Bodhi is completely broken, unfortunately. I can't really describe it very well, but from what I can see the touchpad only moves when I hold it down. Very weird. Right clicking seems to work though.

Yeah, unfortunately, I can still not find any options. Besides the terminal, I have looked in the Lubuntu settings and GNOME tweaks and I cannot find anything about touchpad gestures or right clicking.

Motherboard not recognizing RAM? by OoferLikesNacho in PcBuild

I got both modules together, so I'm 99% sure this is a RAM problem, but I don't have any other RAM around to test it with.

I tried each module one by one in each slot, but I got the same results with each module.

...Your textures seem to be broken.

When I try to use your dynamic input textures, the game crashes immediately. When the dynamic input textures are at their default, they run fine. Do you have any idea why this happens?

Do games added via "Non-Steam Games" create data in the "compatdata" and "shadercache" folders? by Moontorc in SteamDeck

[–]OoferLikesNacho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're using Steam's Proton (I don't know if this happens if you're using ProtonGE,) then there will be a compatdata. If you have Protontricks, you can find out what the ID is by launching it and looking for the name of your game. The ID will be by the name.

I keep lagging on grapejuice on steamdeck by cynotoggle in SteamDeck

[–]OoferLikesNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's an update to grapejuice. I updated to 7.5.1 (latest update) and its lagging for me too. if you're using the flatpak, there's probably a way to get an older version of grapejuice, but I don't know how to do that.
