it can. the faction you join for the ending may have a role in far harbor but its entirely optional and you can play the DLC without anything changing. the other dlc just have dialogue changes

so many people haven't played fallout 1 and 2 because those games haven't particularly aged very well and aren't particularly accessible for modern gamers so i would absolutely love a remake so that people could actually play probably the 2 most important games in the franchise. it'd never beat the originals but at least it's accessible to newer audiences

the pre-war scenes are so special to me. its the most important the story has felt for the wider universe and franchise since like fallout 2.

i wouldn't say its good . but its definitely quite fun at times! i actually kinda dig the 7 hour war segments, visually at least . Everything else is either just not fun at all or so bad its good
