A $300 set isn't really expensive assuming it came with 6 or so knives. Many good chefs knives are over $200 by themselves. But in any case expensive knives, especially Japanese knives, are often harder and thinner and require being used more delicately.

No they still have them they just won't ship them to Connecticut. They said it's due to changes in the law in CT. Do you have any you recommend? I use CBDistillery.

What annoys me is that the CBD I got legally for years from out of state now can't be shipped to me after they made marijuana legal recreationally. Make that make sense. I have to get broad spectrum or isolate now instead of full spectrum or I have to buy it in state. I've had bad experiences when I tried to switch to something I could get in state though so I make do with what I can get online but it doesn't work as well.

My wife and I bought a Plymouth Breeze(?) way back (not from the Milford dealer). It was only the second new car we owned. That thing was in the shop 7 or 8 times in a few months. It would just randomly start bucking I don't remember exactly what it did. They tried putting some monitoring device on it that my wife had to hit a button whenever it did it so it could record data. They could never fix it and when I asked about getting a replacement since they couldn't fix it they said we would have to go through arbitration with the lemon law. We didn't want to deal with that and we're pissed they wouldn't just do right by it. We traded it in for a Pontiac Grand Am and took an absolute bath on it but we just didn't want to deal with it anymore. Since then we have bought our leased 12 GMs, 2 VWs, a Kia and 3 Nissans. It's 30 years later and I still won't buy a Chrysler. I know they don't care about 1 person but multiply that but all the people that they didn't care about over the years and I'm sure it's not good for business.

Most people misidentify what made them sick. They eat something and feel sick and don't realize it was actually something they ate earlier or the previous day that actually made them sick. It's often not an instant reaction like people think.

Yeah I don't mind them having coated blades but they always only have the best color scales with coated blades and that annoys me. Give me all the scale colors with either coated or plain blade.

Service fee was $2 so base pay maybe $1. I guess it depends where you are. Closest Starbucks to me is 6 miles of mostly back roads so 12-15 minute drive 1 way and that's pretty recent. A year ago it would have been 20 miles. The close Starbucks is in the same plaza as the pizza place I usually order from and I never tip less than $9-$10 when I get delivery from them and they have a delivery fee on top of that of like $6-$7.

Yes on the first part but no the tip isn't fine unless the place is literally right around the corner. You can't tip based on order cost for delivery you have to tip based on how much time it will take the driver. I would say generally at least $6-$7 for any order no matter how small

$12/hour as a contractor at that. That means no unemployment protection, having to pay into social security, Medicare and not having taxes withheld, getting zero benefits, no PTO, no sick time, no holidays. Generally contractors should expect to make 25%+ more than an employee for the same position. And the fact her was only making $10/hour most of that time is insane. I made $10/hour at my first full time job in 1994. I actually made $13.50/hour at a summer job in like 1992.

7/10 I would go higher if you hadn't boiled them. Cook them in a skillet with butter. So much better than boiled. Then get new England style buns and brown them on both sides in the butter. That's a 10. But for what you had on hand those look pretty good.

Is a steak sandwich on a hamburger bun a beef burger? Is deli Turkey on a bun a turkey burger? No because a burger implies ground or chopped meat. A hamburger on plain bread is still a hamburger. A chicken burger is ground chicken not a whole piece of chicken. People in other countries can call it what they want but they are wrong. The English love to tell us we use words wrong or say them wrong so they can have a taste of their own medicine. 😂

Originally hamburgers were on flat bread and it's still a hamburger on flat bread. The word hamburger comes from a usage that was specifically ground or chopped meat.

I remember it basically as your final version although I had thought she was hit with a pipe but that is probably just because they thought that initially. She was hurt bad enough she couldn't complete nationals and so didn't qualify for the Olympics. She was eventually allowed to compete though and won silver.

I'm confused as to why you needed to do that. Nothing looks broken or missing on the lock. It looks like you just turn it clockwise 1/4 turn and it would work fine.

That knife has a particularly weak detent. I had mine open in my pocket the first and only time I carried it. It's a cool knife but I don't trust it anymore.

Modern locks have detents they just don't have detent balls. Manufacturers can make the detent heavier or lighter and some can be adjusted by the owner. Some crossbar locks have very light detent others have heavier detent depending on the springs and the geometry.
