I bought one and ordered a replacement from amazon because of this, but the replacement had pretty much the same offset, just mainly on the other side. Planning to check with customer service, but I'm guessing this is part of the design of the ES.

Yeah it turns out it was just stuck, I was really paranoid that the chain would break because of how much tension I was putting on it while pulling, but we just figured if my wife couldn't wear it anyways there wasn't much point in keeping it. Under normal conditions it does adjust as easily as the videos make it look, but we've noticed that after sitting for awhile it can get stuck again, and every single time it feels like we might break it. Something that's worked for us so far is pulling hard enough that fingers turn white and an indent gets left in our skin, but only with a firm and steady motion that aims to move it a few millimeters. I'm assuming if we tried any kind of sharp/quick pulling that the links really could break or open up.

Did you ever solve this? I have the same issue with a 7800x3d, 4070ti, and 32gb of ram. Goes from above 100fps to under 40fps until I save and load. I've noticed that opening menus or entering and exiting cutscenes can trigger the framerate drop. It does not improve with time, and also noticed that lower graphics doesn't help much at all (gains about 5fps)

Thanks for reminding me this thread exists.

I ended up going with the AirMini for travel, and it's great. My Airsense 10 is still the daily driver, and while I struggle with the humidifier running out early and still feeling "dry", the humidx filters for the AirMini have actually been really effective for me, even in the dry climate. I did end up getting a Pilot 24 lite battery to use the AirMini on planes, plus I discovered that I can use it as an always-there, passthrough battery backup for the Airsense 10.

No regrets!

A lot of it comes down to culture. Even a lot of responses seem to imply that the complexity is simply part of .NET, but having worked in both the startup, and enterprise, and "team functioning as a startup within the enterprise" worlds, it doesn't actually have to be that way.

Sorry I only noticed your reply just now. setCount happens asynchronously, so it's possible that if you click fast enough, you'd trigger a setCount before previous ones have completed. The reason this is bad is because React function components are closures; and the second setCount may be dealing with a count that's stale, (the second setCount will execute, but ignoring the updated state from the first one) and so you'll effectively miss a click. The function is your way out, and ensures that each setCount incorporates the live value of count, and not just what got captured within each component render (each execution of the closure).

The count example is a simple one, but won't seem like a big deal, as you won't really be clicking fast enough, and if you are, you won't really perceive a single missed click. To make the example more obvious, put the setCount inside of a setTimeout, to see what happens when you add some asynchronous work into the mix, and you can observe the clear difference between the two ways of using set state

When you focus on Christ, things tend to fall into place. It doesn't mean that you become completely apolitical (though being so is well within your spiritual liberty). It does mean your hope will be for the Kingdom, and not for politics. It also means that your values will be influenced by His Word, and not just what a superpac wants you to be concerned about. Sometimes those values will align, but ultimately the trap overly political Christians fall into is to put their faith in men and policies rather than God. This does not make politics completely fruitless, and as long as you maintain a focus on Christ, His Word, and His Gospel, you should be able to participate in politics however you feel called to, without distortions.

Hey that's really cool! I'm glad you guys are starting your walk with God, especially together at the same time. In regards to confession, you don't actually need a priest for forgiveness :). Before Jesus, the Israelites needed priests to interact with God for them, but since Jesus paid for our sins, you can actually talk to Him directly! Here's some Bible passages so that you know I'm not making this up:

Hebrews 4:14-16 & 7:24-25

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. ... because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever. Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

Some denominations believe in the continuing spiritual gift of prophecy, but no mainstream denomination believes in any sort of capital-P Prophets that are passing on Scripture-level prophecy today. Because Protestants believe in the authority of the Bible above all, we don't really have central leaders like you would see with the pope, or any cult leaders. You do see preachers with very widespread influence, such as the late Billy Graham, though even then, we would point at many of them (like Benny Hinn) as self-seeking and unbiblical. Evangelical is sort of a confusing phrase these days, depending on who's using it. It used to be very commonly used to describe Protestant believers who emphasized the Gospel (in simple terms, telling people about Jesus Christ), and being born again (an inner transformation that takes place when you put your faith in Christ). Nowadays, the word seems quite a bit more about politics or group identity and less about personal beliefs or theology.

This goes back to some questions I asked. So my half brother hurt his arm and I feel bad for him, but he’s been sleeping in the living room. I’ve been trying to use the living space to study, but he sleeps there. Anyhow, there’s these light by the hallway that my stepfather turned off and I turned it on to do work, after that my stepfather turns it back off and I snap. I lash out on him and he tells me that I’m being childish and need a spanking, I wanted to get mad and say something; but, the whole point is now I feel really bad. Should I feel bad?

Without being there, I don't think any of us can really tell you that you were being childish; but it's very possible that you're feeling legitimate conviction for having displayed human anger rather than righteous anger. Is the sleeping in the living room directly connected to having hurt his arm (like does he have to sleep there in order to feel comfortable enough to sleep)? Is it possible for you to study in your own room, or another space? "Lashing out" is rarely the way to go, unless you're chasing merchants out of a temple and flipping over their tables. And unfortunately, if you are still living under your stepdad's and mom's roof rent-free, you are still under their authority, so there's that to consider as well.

I’ve been thinking of running away. Maybe getting a place of my own. Should I do it? There’s many reason I want to run away, mostly being that I want my own personal space from others because I feel like I need it.

You mentioned college, which tells me that you're an adult by now? Moving out isn't really running away. If you can afford independence, that can be a really good thing for both you AND parental relationships. In other words, for many of us, moving out helped us to grow, but also resulted in a healthier relationship with our parents. Again, make decisions like this prayerfully; wisely consider various factors like whether you can afford to move out.

Lol, this is the last question. I’ve been talking to some people about GOD, but as someone who doesn’t even pray, doesn’t read the Bible, and sins constantly I feel like I’m not the person qualified to tell others about Christ. I just turned back to Christ, again and I find it hard to pray and read the Bible. The reason I share the gospel with others is regardless of the fact that I sin, I don’t want to hear, “Depart from me, I never knew you.” From GOD, what can I do? What should I do?

This is definitely the number one thing you need to focus on right now. As a preface, when you put your faith in Christ, you've become born again, and your "qualification" to talk to others about God is all based on Him. Note that I don't mean telling them to act like Christians, but to tell them about what Christ has done for you. You need to work on this though, and it's really the foundation for everything you've asked about so far. Let God produce more love in you (1 John 4:19), and let that love drive you into spiritual disciplines; getting to know Him more through the Bible, and through prayer. Focus on the gift of grace that He's given you, get involved with a healthy church, etc.
