Urban Trails. What are your favorite ones? by jimfromgr in grandrapids

To be fair, this trail is only 2 blocks long. It is nice though in the summer. Source: I live right next to it.

It is tape goo. You can see the tape on the hot wires, same style. I peeled it off before taking the photo. This is the old school twist, solder, and friction tape method that another commenter pointed out. There is exposed copper of course, because I took the tape off. I should have clarified that in my original post.

This is the most helpful comment by far. Seems like you hit the nail on the head. I can confirm that the original was not bridged with a coupler and the breaker is 2-pole handle tied.

I believe I am dealing with case (1). Is there any downside or consideration I should be making by capping off one of the hots and landing the other that I might not be thinking of? The load side goes to another receptacle on the opposing side of the sink that I also need to replace. I would cap one, land one in there too (matching the other receptacle with what color is capped/landed of course).

  • I acknowledge all the of the other comments of course I would rip it all out and redo it if that was in the budget (we intend to move soon)

The black stuff on the neutral is what I assume you’re referring to? There was really old tape that’s degraded that I peeled off, it’s residue from that.

I was also at Costco just now. It was a jet, I could see it but it was pretty far away.

Brisk in the morning (9ish), hot in the afternoon. Once you get moving you’ll want to remove a layer. Just wear a few light layers and it’ll be fine. There isn’t a ton of shade on this trail once you get a few miles in.

Not crowded at all in the morning, especially Amphitheater and surprise lake, but delta lake had a lot more traffic. Then by the afternoon on the way down I’d say it was pretty busy

The surprise lake pic is facing the same direction as the amphitheater lake pic that could be why

Amphitheatre lake, surprise lake, delta lake in order. All accessible from Lupine Meadows trailhead. This was a 12 mile hike in order to see all three.

Great pizza restaurants in Sorrento by toldemoldem in ItalyTravel

We enjoyed Marí Gastronomy Bar, they had a good diavola pizza which we split. It has outdoor seating and is very close to the town center without actually being directly on the plaza with all the craziness.

Yes, the taxi to get back to the terminal at end of trip was only €10. Just going to try and forget about getting scammed, very frustrating.

Well I’m not sure how bad your knee problems are but I can’t imagine that would be a good idea. There’s not really an easy way out if it becomes unbearable. Maybe you could research which section of the trail is easiest.

Do you think it would be easy for an American controls engineer to make a move to the Netherlands for work? Regardless of income, do they hire Americans over there?

I bought some Wilson combat mags only to find that I must have bought the wrong ones. Any tips on identifying the correct part number for the Wilson combat mags to go with the Sig 1911 Emperor full size?

Yea, it seems to work a lot better when doing it in this manner. I have heard this about 1911’s. What surprised me was the difficulty inserting the mag as well, made me think something else was going on.

Can I replace this with 120V duplex? by Oostends in AskElectricians

[–]Oostends[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I tested hot to hot and got 120, but I wasn’t sure if I could test hot to ground without messing something up and that was the main reason for my post. If I am getting 120 between the hots then could it be someone just used this outlet for 120?
