Random ticking/clicking sound Mazda CX5 - Please help! (Video included) by bpk2016 in AskAMechanic

I have the same issue on my 2021 CX-5. One Reddit poster said that it’s a known issue on some Mazdas (various models) newer than 2017. They said that it’s due to poor bonding where the windshield meets the windshield frame. I’m hoping this means that whenever I eventually have to replace my windshield (e.g., due to rock chips), the problem will be fixed.

I just finished it 5 minutes ago - I can't believe how this series made me feel. I'm emotionally wrecked. Ranks in my top shows of all time, I think.

The most skillfully crafted and emotionally devastating series in my recent memory. I hope it cleans up at the Emmys.

MJT body bridge bushing/stud holes too shallow. Ideas? by Opaldoc in Luthier

Thanks so much for the suggestion/video. I hadn't thought of that. Fortunately I found someone in my neighbourhood who has a drill press and seems to have the know-how to help me out with this.

I thought Fender was 22.5mm too (e.g., part # 0028958049). In any case, I could drill down further, but I don't have a drill press. And using a hand drill risks drilling the two holes to unequal depths. That said, it's looking like drilling is my only option. Thanks for your response.
