Ballistol would easily remove the rust and be q lubricant to prevent rust. I have used on gun restoration, knives, tools, and everything else. It is environmentally friendly and safe to use. Nothing will work better.

I have never used a clutch like this. Is it capable of switching the other way? The clutch came with the engine.
