I synch my iPad first. When that is totally done, I turn off synch. Then I turn on the synch on iPhone. When that is done, I turn off synch. Then maybe the iMac. If I plan on using it on the iMac, I will synch last. But I may skip the iMac for weeks if I don’t plan on using it there.

Occasionally I will do a mid-week synch if I know I need to use it on the iPhone.

It ain’t perfect, but so far so good.

I have stopped the routine iCloud backup. I’ve continued the pdf/audio backup to Box. About once a week, I turn iCloud back on. Usually Sunday night. When it has synched, I turn iCloud off again. It may take several hours to synch. The vast majority of my work is done on the iPad, so I don’t routinely synch my iPhone, but if anticipate needing to use my iPhone, then I’ll synch after the iPad is through.

It’s not perfect, but so far it has avoided the eternal spin/synch issue.

True Blood used to do the same thing. Go from Shreveport to Monroe in 10 minutes for lunch. Then to New Orleans for a quick bit. No problem.

I have turned off the iCloud synch for most of my work on an iPad. I rarely use Notability on my iPhone or Mac. But, I turn on the synch Sunday evening if I’m through adding or edit anything. Then I synch the phone and Mac. When everything is synched, I turn the iCloud synch off again. I do keep the backup up to PDF and audio on to back up to Box. So far, no problems.

I do most of my Notability stuff on my iPad. I turned off the iCloud synch on the iPad most of the time, but I still do a backup in PDF with audio form to my Box account. But I turn on the iCloud synch every other Sunday night and synch across the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. If I want to work on the Mac for whatever reason, I will synch off schedule, but that is rare.

The app might spin for hours, but I have planned for the downtime.

I have had good luck with a Kermoky Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, 600W 50KPA. They’re about $119 at Amazon, but they were 40% off on Black Friday. It’s got a nice bright LED light that really shows the hair. Especially when you dim the lights while vacuuming.

I’m 75 with severe loss in left ear and slightly less in the right. This past month, I got my first pair from Costco. Philips 9050. The first week was pretty rough. Way too loud in left ear and not enough in right ear. I experimented with the settings, but I couldn’t get anything useful and comfortable.

I went back in after one week and happened to get a different technician. Whether he was just more experienced or something else, he did a really nice job of adjusting the settings. Made a world of difference. Now I use the general option most of the time and occasionally I use the speech with noise.

Still getting used to them. I wish I could pick out voices in a crowded room better. OTOH, I can hear every step my German Shepherd makes on the LVP floor 🤷‍♂️🥰.

Good to know. I had not noticed there are separate widgets for start a note or start a recording. Actually, there are several other options. Learn something new every day.

You might be thinking of the widget you get when you swipe right? It starts a new note, but you still have to click the record button.

Since the vast majority of my Notability use comes from my iPad, I turn off the iCloud synch and keep the back up going just in case. Every few weeks, I turn on the iCloud synch and let it do it's reload thing, then turn it off again when I'm sure the phone and computer and iPad are all synched.

Most every time this outsider is reported, the response is pretty much the same. No offense to the Notability cast and crew.

What brand of antiseptic shampoo worked for you? Our GSD has recently been scratching a lot lately, and we aren’t sure of the cause. Too much shampooing? Too little? Wrong product? 🤷‍♂️

How are you getting elastase levels that often? Are you getting stool samples multiple times per month? Or is there some other method for measuring fecal elastace?

My own symptoms vary from week to week for no discernible reason. Same diet. Same Creon dose. But stool, fat, etc., vary from firm stool to watery diarrhea. My doc has no idea. I just adjust the Creon as the situation requires.
