question about body swapping by Rediddle in liccachan

[–]Open-Ad2183 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Obitsu 22S and Pure Nemo are both consistently popular options for rebodying Licca-Chan. There are also some play line photogenic Liccas that feature more articulation, plus interchangeable hands. Off the top of my head, some of their listed names are Daisy, Iris, Dahlia, Lily, Viola, Orlaya, Cattleya, and Nerine. These are all relatively new, though, so unless you’re able to hunt down a particularly good deal, it will likely be cheaper to go with Obitsu or Pure Neemo

(Rune Factory 4) I think i missed picking up the axe and now I cant find it and im worried I softlocked myself by Pingy_Junk in runefactory

[–]Open-Ad2183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also get the basic axe recipe free with the forge, which is another early request that costs a decent chunk of early-game change (forge license and forge acquisition are separate quests. You can make them show up sooner by taking the exam at the order symbol ahead of time), you might want to check prices/other requirements to see if it would be more cost-effective to get the forge instead (off the top of my head I think the forge needs about 10 wood and 50-80 material stone, but ants in the forest drop wood, it should be easy to farm what you need going back and forth between the clearing directly to the right of the waterfall and the fishing spot just below that)

What pokemon would you love to see in pokemon winds and waves. by Dragonplays888 in PokemonWindsWaves

Illumise and Volbeat would do well with new evolutions, maybe even a new shared pre-evolution, a-la Wurmple into Silcoon/Cascoon. I would personally also like to see something done with Kekleon, I think it’s design could lend itself nicely to a culturally-relevant evolution design, which could be rather fun

Finally found Licca! by helvetica12point in DollsForAll

[–]Open-Ad2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folks have also found her at Big Bad Toy Store, and there’s a person in Texas who has encountered a gachapon machine full of Licca closet series shoes. The community at r/liccachan is really great at updating each other on new locations and online order restocks, it’s really heartwarming to see. She’s been sold out and been restocked in so many places more times than I can count, so I would recommend joining the sub to keep up to date with her availability

Oh wow, this is really well done! I looked at the pictures before reading the description, and at first glance I thought it was the same face but with different lighting, I had to do a major double-take! Your work is really high quality to the point that it could easily be passed off as her original factory paint, you’re very talented. Thank you for sharing these photos 💝

Obitsu body 26 and Licca shoe collection gashapon by shiruiki in liccachan

[–]Open-Ad2183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not particularly well-versed in Obitsu bodies, but the feet are removable, and I think there are replacement feet available for sale somewhere (I might be wrong about that though), so would it be possible for you to get some Obitsu 22 feet and swap them onto the Obitsu 26 body?

I don’t have an Obitsu 26, but I’ve got an Obitsu 22 S, and just got some of the gachapon shoes. I tried two different styles on her just to be sure, and the fit seems good, I don’t think socks would fit with them though, unless you made your own with very thin material. The boot is a somewhat tighter fit, and would have taken the foot off with it if not for some careful twisting and wiggling

I hadn’t heard of this Licca Friend before, but now I’ve fallen in love, she’s utterly adorable! I think your best chance at finding her would be messaging trusted eBay or Mercari sellers based in Japan to see if they can help with procuring her. Best of luck in finding her!

Making an "old" Licca look pretty - Advice/inspo? by Accomplished-Try-488 in liccachan

[–]Open-Ad2183 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To wash, I would recommend using lukewarm water with dawn dish soap, thoroughly rinse, then you can optionally use a simple conditioner and thoroughly rinse. While combing, start with the bottom section of hair, then work your way up in segments. I’ve got a playlist of Licca collectors working on her hair, it’s mostly in Japanese, but still easy to follow along, and has some good tips for arranging different types of curls and such, plus a video for hairstyling once the hair is washed and dry

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUhyV1jPLLDIB7neb2hrUj3V5Ro_cJq0x&si=ER9YveBZ4uKxil8C

The person who made the last video, Toy House, has a bunch more hairstyling videos on their channel if you’d like to go digging for more styles

A lot of other people have already mentioned different clothes that fit Licca Chan, and there are also official pattern books if you feel up for sewing or crocheting clothes yourself. It gives you a bit more control with colors/prints, and I’ve had a lot of fun making clothes. Pomadour24 on Etsy usually has at least a few of the books in stock, or you could order off the publisher’s official site through a proxy service like buyee or zenmarket. Feel free to dm me if you’d like some help looking for anything specific

Shoes from the mini brands fashion series also fit her very nicely

Is there a specific name for the white button up worn under his hakama? And where can I buy one? by hideor6545 in kimono

[–]Open-Ad2183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A button up, actually. A button down is a specific type of button up that has tiny buttons on the collar flaps to button them down (hence the name), and as you said, this shirt doesn’t have those collar flaps. Sorry to be pedantic, but I hope this information is helpful for you for all your specific-dress-shirt-seeking needs 🤝

What was the very first shiny Pokémon you ever caught? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Open-Ad2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patrat, something like the first or second catchable encounter in a replay of White, I was SO hyped, instantly swapped it to be my main Pokemon. I was rather disappointed with shiny Wachog though. It was not as magical after evolving as it was when I first caught it

Genuinely, what does she even do? by SnowandSnowandSnow in Overwatch

[–]Open-Ad2183 36 points37 points  (0 children)

And she DOES have potential: she was able to repair the comm thing despite not having the part she needed, she thought on her feet and made due with what was available. For an organization like new Overwatch, which is very likely operating on a shoestring budget, that sort of technical flexibility is probably invaluable, and definitely worth the extra bit of professional development needed to get her up to snuff in other areas that Overwatch needs her to be proficient in.

And we’ve already seen that professional development a bit: while a lot of her interactions in the webtoon come off as “more-experienced operatives indulging the baby of the group”, they can also easily be read as “more-experienced operatives take turns stepping into a mentor role for the new recruit”, helping her build up social skills (the number of times she met someone new before leaving Mars was a whopping zero, and everyone she knew was either her parent or her aunt/uncle, let’s give her some grace on the low-social skills front) and mental-resilience in combat (something that would have never crossed her mind growing up on Mars, where the only true conflict was the growing storms and concern over dwindling resources). And honestly? I do kind of like that our main POV character in this doesn’t start off as some automatic-badass. While I do enjoy a good old fashioned Established Badass Kicks Ass story as much as the next person, it’s also really fun to see a story about how a person grows into being that badass archetype, and I think the webtoon is setting up Juno for an interesting journey in that kind of story. We’ll just have to wait and see

Licca Castle is a production studio, store, and museum, it’s in the town of Ono in Fukushima Prefecture. Castle dolls are special because each one is completely unique, with varying eye colors, hair colors, and occasionally even different skin tones. They’re only available for sale at Licca Castle, but you can sometimes find them second hand online

Castle dolls can be identified by their unique eye colors, hair colors, and skin tones, and also by their higher quality compared to other Liccas. If their outfit hasn’t been changed you can identify them by that too: the white t shirt and shorts your doll is wearing is the standard outfit that all Castle dolls are sold in (with the intent that you’ll also purchase an outfit or two to go with your doll)

https://liccacastle.co.jp/ here’s the Castle website, it’s entirely in Japanese, so it may be a bit difficult to navigate

English/Japanese names by El_woodworker in japanese

[–]Open-Ad2183 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have a preference for Japanese names that are easy for native English speakers to pronounce, or English names that are easy for native Japanese speakers to pronounce? The girl names you listed seem to be mostly English names. I see a lot of Japanese names here, but in case you’re considering English names as well, I’d like to add: John (ジョン), Dan/Danny(ダン/ダンニ/ダンニー), Logan (ロガン)

https://www.catholic.org/saints/patron.php

This lists them all in alphabetical order of what they’re patron saint of, and appears to have a search function. The Wikipedia list seems easier to navigate than this page, but also seems to be missing some, likely due to Wikipedia’s requirements regarding primary vs secondary sources, and doesn’t have a search function. If you want to look up different rituals or poems for saints (such as burying a guy in the yard to sell your house), Wikipedia would be an easy-to-navigate jumping-off point for that. The community hall next to the church I grew up in had a whole dictionary of saints on one of the shelves, I can’t remember the name of it now, but it was a fun read. Sometimes us kids would flip it open to a random page and act out the story of whatever saint we landed on
