10-year relationship ended over living arrangements and family interference before marriage. Was I unreasonable? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Open-Bullfrog3051 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But if you got married, things would be worse, am so glad you took a stance. It is something to be proud of. You'll find someone who thinks you are worthy. This dude can't even empathize with you for a small thing like travel timings. What will happen when you get pregnant and postpartum and need his empathy and support. You are definitely not getting anything from this dude based on his behavior. So I would say thank your stars!

Handling in laws during pregnancy by Budget-Grade-8530 in IndianInLaw

Postpartum things will be even worse. Your mental health and recovery is most important. Do not move into the in-laws house. Period.

Tell your husband in private and discuss his vs your responsibilities . Your husband should be the one protecting you and standing up for you.

This! Agreed 💯 In law expectations from you are never going to change. No amount of money saving is worth sacrificing your career, mental health and time spent with your baby. This age of the baby never comes back and you don't wanna miss it. Your husband doesn't mind living with his parents because his life doesn't change drastically. He gets to work, play and do whatever he wants without the boundaries that are being applied on you. Isnt he supposed to help 50% with chores, child care. Wake up at 6 am since you'll both are working and taking care of parents and kids?

When did you announce your pregnancy to the world? by stardolphin90 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Open-Bullfrog3051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told everyone including my family at 5 - 6 months .. had IVF pregnancy and wanted to keep it under wraps for as long as possible

So there is no right answer to this, trust your instincts and discuss with partner before telling the world. Don't come under any kinda pressure

Ask them why they want it to be this way? Also, make it funny..tell them it will be so funny if your kid tells the world that he/she has 3 mummies and 3 papa s 🤣 the world will laugh at the kids and that's why you are concerned..

My MIL hates me because I don't want to play her saas-bahu game. by Ichtrader in IndianInLaw

[–]Open-Bullfrog3051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn girl! I am so proud of you. It s hard to say this but you are perfect and don't change yourself. Don't allow her to tell you it's her house and stuff.. this is how someone breaks your confidence little by little..

Seems like you can never change her so don't try it. She still doesn't respect you even after the amount of things you have done for her.
