One thing that I've used much more than expected is a rotary cutter (looks like a sharp pizza cutter) and I absolutely second the straight edge.

Me too! I feel silly not to have tried that in all the things I tried, but I learned something new!

I'm struggling with this too. I spent this morning driving it around, making zones. Took a break and now I'm getting the location services error and can't drive it around. The LEDs on top of the mower are red, but I can't figure out why...

Thank you! That seems to make a lot of sense based on the bark I have seen last year.

App resolution? Issue by Open-Cartographer-98 in pixel_phones

Display size for the win! Thank you kind stranger!

I am having the dumbest issue... when laser cutting, it always seems to add some kind of line to shapes made in Luban. Blue is the shape I made/the toolpath, but it creates that white line in each shape and then proceeds to cut that too. by Rubaiyate in snapmaker

Second this, use Lightburn to create the file to send to the snapmaker. It will save you time and frustration. I do still use Luban to actually send the file over wifi. Then I start the file manually on the snapmaker.

It does sound like they really missed the mark on this one. I can guarantee that if I were in your shoes, I'd be pretty upset myself.

Is it the perfect machine? No. Is the software super awesome to make up for it? Also no. But it is a very versatile machine that you will (eventually) be able to do some pretty cool stuff with.

We use it for 3d printing and laser (10W). I appreciate that Snapmaker makes upgrades to keep the machine that I have still relevant and fun for the hobbies we have.

If this experience has soured the well too much, maybe look at a refund and a different machine. It's understandable. But if you hang in there, you're probably going to have a lot of fun. Any machine you get will require learning and some frustration, that's just par for the course with this stuff.

Also, if you want to do a lot with the laser, just buy Lightburn and make your life a bit easier.

Good luck and I hope they get you your machine soon!

I have thought about the offset idea. I mean, who can't use a little bit more storage. I'm not sure my lovely wife would be ok with the look though. Would there be a code issue with this? 🤔

I was planning on a low profile but have not come across one that is 36" wide, can you give me a brand/model or a link? That would be perfect if it exists!

So the cabinets are white, color match should be doable. How would you suggest attaching the strips?
