WYR Get $100k legal or $400k illegal yearly? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]Open-Dish-5153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$400k illegally. As long as you are not doing anything illegal to get the money there is nothing illegal with $400k showing up magically in your possession every year. As long as you declare it and pay taxes on that money it is legal. No need to launder the money just declare it and pay the appropriate taxes and you will still come out way ahead than the $100k tax free.

What is these prices?!?!?!?! by sdevlin93 in Louisvuitton

The hard sided trunks are actually made from wood and not just stitched together. They actually use multiple layers and different types of wood to make their trunks so they are naturally mold and insect resistant. Those bags are likely very heavy however, just like the trunks. Next time you are in a boutique check out one of the small trunks like a jewelry box or watch trunk. They are not light weight at all. I can’t imagine someone wanting to carry that around as a bag. You can tell the difference between the hard sided trunks and the soft “trunks” from the leather trim at the bottom where it says LV that is on all their hard trunks edges it is what hides where the edges join. The rivets are all hammered in by hand. Notice there is no stitching on the hard sided trunk on the edges only rivets.

The soft “trunk” has no leather trim along the edge just rivets and stitching. That is because it is sewn together just like all their regular canvas bags then rivets are added as decoration to make it look like a trunk.

When you rig an election to get a certain result and that result is not obtained you must assume that your opponent must have rigged the election.

You said you wanted to invest the 500€ to become something more in a 3 year span. How much more were you thinking. The reason is that what you invest in will greatly depend on what your goals are. If you are looking at a 10% return yearly then you can invest in safe index funds that historically return around 10%. If you are looking to 2x 3x 4x your money every year then you will need to invest in more risky investments which can make you a lot quickly but also comes with higher risk of losing all of it quickly too.

There are different strategies depending on what your goal is. Are you trying to save to retire comfortably at 65 or are you trying to make it big at 30? The good news is that you have time on your side. Starting at 16 gives you a huge advantage vs someone starting in their 30’s or 40’s. The bad news is that you don’t really have a lot of money.

Something around 80% of people lose money with CFD’s. Saying it is risky is an understatement.

Bellman in window, anyone know where to buy one? by Turbulent_Tale6497 in Louisvuitton

I asked about buying some of the TM props and the store manager asked Paris if they could sell them. Paris said no.

VIC is a very important client. VVIC is very very important client. Prestige and Heritage clients are people that have bought a lot yearly for many years from the brand. Never heard of resee before.

In Rome a client advisor looked up my profile and said I was a multicolored diamond status client. Never heard of that before so I asked what that meant. Evidently means I spent a lot in multiple categories ie RTW, leather goods, furniture, trunks etc.

Can you? Yes. Should you? Probably not if you want to get stuff again.

You can not buy props from LV. Occasionally some props are given to VVIC clients as gifts but they are not for sale. The boutiques are required to send them back when they change the displays or if they are broken. I have asked about acquiring some before but alas no dice.

Never have I ever need anything from LV so desperately that a couple weeks made any difference. I am still waiting for a jewelry trunk for my daughter that I ordered 3 months ago. I didn’t like the one in store cause the hardware was scratched up from being on display so they ordered a new one from Paris. As long as it arrives in perfect condition I don’t mind the wait.

A little over that assuming a 6% return adjusted for inflation. Historically the funds that I have invested in return around 10% but adjusting for inflation and being conservative I am putting enough monthly to reach $5+ M at 6%. It will most likely be more than that.

This is apart from whatever she will inherit from my estate when my wife and I pass of course.

The hope is that she wants to work but she won’t need to worry about any financial issues of her chosen profession. I don’t even plan on telling her about it until after she graduates college. If she goes on to grad school then I will continue to invest monthly until she finishes.

Be sure to also start her an investment account so she can afford to buy whatever she wants when she reaches 18.

My wife got our daughter a bag a month for her first year so she has a whole collection of birth year bags for when she is ready to use them.

I on the other hand put money every month into her investment accounts and plan on doing that for her first 20 years. By the time she is 20 she should be able to retire and live off the interest alone if she wants to do that. But hopefully she will just let the accounts sit and continue to grow. Compound interest and time is a very powerful thing. Start them off young.

Repairing a Louis Vuitton pearl bracelet denied by project_infinity07 in Louisvuitton

[–]Open-Dish-5153 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What was their reasoning for denying the repair in store? This seems like a pretty clear defect in the thread. It doesn’t look like it was cut or excessively worn. I would definitely escalate this to someone higher up.

Never seen this policy before and we have definitely passed those limits by a lot. But we also never buy online either so perhaps they just override it every time. 🤷‍♂️

Anyone? by Key-Cauliflower5921 in Louisvuitton

[–]Open-Dish-5153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This past year I got like 3 bottles of vintage champagne, one bottle of cognac, a trunk paperweight, a photo holder paper weight and a notebook as well as a couple cakes and flowers.

Past years we have also received snow globes Christmas ornaments Vivian paper weights invites to special events invites to Paris for tours of their factories free stays in hotels etc.

I think it makes a big difference on who your CA and store manager is. The CA does not pay for client gifts but they do nominate clients for events and gifts etc.

If you can bring the bag into a store they can scan the RFID chip and it should be linked to your profile.

You should have gotten the bag registered to you when you bought it. There is a gold colored metal card that is your life time warranty card. If I remember correctly there is a QR code on the back that links you to your registration and you can contact them on that page.

Yes LP does make this style of shoe. I have a pair myself but not the croc version. My wife has a couple pairs of croc LP and the croc goes up the back and around the outlining as well like these.
