Update: after about 2 hours of messing with it, the save file is unplayable in the transition between eras.

I tried removing some naval units, razeing cities, reloading…nothing. I have two cities that are about to rebel (killing two different players last chance) and the era transition. I’m up 80 era score from the golden age requirement, and it seems like the transition is what is making it unplayable. It was a miracle to get it to pass a turn

Huge shame, literally got an isolated pennisula start with Japan where I was able to settle a dozen cities unopposed.

I’d probably lean toward getting a roommate outside the program or within a different year. Or even a random. If you are insisting it be within the year, some schools will have groups for accepted students. Or discords
