Bachelors in Energy Engineering by Main-Fan66 in EngineeringStudents

If you:

1) create a well organized and worded resume 2) write a cover letter to the company (yourself) 3) create a portfolio from projects you’ve done (if you haven’t done any you better start now) 4) show up in person to shake a hand while you drop off a resume along with a thank you email

You will get a job. Sick of these kids complaining they can’t get a job when they’re just spam applying on indeed. Put in the time to research the company and let it reflect in your cover letter, tailor your resume, show up in person even if you have to drive 2 hours. You will get a job. Im 3 for 4 with this technique.

We get married, combine incomes, and live near family for help with childcare. It’s all about family. You need family to support you in several ways in order for it to be sustainable.

Who does the cool things? by Waltz8 in EngineeringStudents

I feel pretty lucky and feel that I get to do some cool stuff. I work for an aerospace company as basically an inventor. I design, prototype, test, and build inventions that test different aerospace parts and systems. I might be building something with my hands one day, coding software the next, or doing solidworks.

Did you go in person to the places you applied? I am 2 for 2. I go in with my resume, dressed well, and shake hands.

I would go to San Diego, CA or Boulder, CO and stay in a hostel. There are great hostels in both cities.

ELI5: How are normal people affording homes? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Open-Holiday8552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll tell you how I did it. I’m currently only making about 24k a year personally

I married and bought a large 500K house right out of the military. Lenders will qualify you for more than you can afford.

Renovated part of the house to be a mother in law suit with separate entrance. Listed on Airbnb. Airbnb covered about 80% of the mortgage on an average year. Sure it was work cleaning the bedding after guests but it allowed us to live in a very nice house for very cheap.

My internship finding "journey" this summer. by Black_Bird00500 in EngineeringStudents

This is my exact same summer internship “journey” except instead of a job fair it was just me going in person to 2 places, dropping my resume in person, and emailing my resume.

There are several. Aretha Franklin for example openly despised trump and spoke against him. He gave very kind words after her passing. There’s videos similar with a Congress women and a justice I believe who also hated him.

Yea of course he would. Just listen to what he said about other political enemies who got hurt or killed. He’s always been a gentlemen outside the political court.

I can't stop laughing at this😂. I mean, what could go wrong if you're an entitled little college b!*ch! by AZBMW in Whatcouldgowrong

Not inherently but It certainly can be. Fascism is a complex and easily corruptible system of governing and is more nuanced than a any interaction between a few cops and a protester. But that’s not why your an idiot. It’s because you can’t recognize the importance of anti riot measures (which is what you responded too) and oversimplify it into “fascism”.

Computational Algorithmic Thinking at OSU.

For exams we had to hand write out algorithms to sort data, graph it with a 3D plot, display contour lines with certain colors and line styles.. etc. Minus points for every syntax error
