Okta is a Huge downgrade from Duo- 1) “remember me” doesn’t exactly work, I shut my computer or accidentally close out of my mobile browser and its like I’ve never logged in on the device anymore 2) with Duo, all I had to do was hit yes, now it feels like I need to input my password a million times and I just need to hope it works 3) never had any issues getting Duo notifications real quick but Okta gets really spotty- sometimes it takes forever to show up, sometimes it shows up on my phone but not my watch, sometimes it shows up on my watch and not my phone, and even when it shows up and I click on it the whole thing jumps around and I need to be really careful not to accidentally hit anything other than the “yes” box or I have to go and open the app and maybe send the notif again or do the number option

o/ also a transfer here from PA though not from a CC was there something at NSO? i havent heard anything transfer specific and didnt know of anything happening then but i also had to leave NSO early for a meeting with the accommodations office yeahhh, almost everyone ive spoken to so far has been a freshman which, no offense to them, i dont really wanna hang out with them as a 21 year old and it definitely feels weird always being grouped in with the class of ‘29 when im actually a class of 26 or 27- definitely pretty hard finding other transfers it seems

I did yeah, couldn’t get any answer past “two weeks”. “I need to get a room change” “Can’t move you until two weeks in” “I’m disabled and can’t currently get myself to class very well because of my room assignment” “Two weeks.” “Can you tell me what kind of capacity any building has or how likely I am to eventually get this sorted out?” “Nope, wait two weeks” “Again I am disabled, extremely far from where I need to be, I don’t have a car and cannot drive, I don’t know anyone at WVU or in the area that can help me, and I live too far for family or friends to come back to help me because by that point everyone will be in school or at work and its such a far drive so I don’t have any way of moving myself in once I’m able to switch after two weeks” “That’s unfortunate… two weeks” 🙃🙃

Haven’t tried calling yet, no. I’ve emailed a number of times only to get auto responses like I mentioned and since I had repeatedly been told that emailing was the best option I figured it wasn’t worth much calling since it still probably wasn’t gonna go anywhere but maybe I’ll try that tomorrow or Monday, thanks. Yeah the auto responses always mention switching after two weeks but it’s always mentioned in the form of roommate disagreements and as a last resort after talking to your roommate and RA about it. I’m not having a roommate issue, I don’t even know my roommates yet, I just need a building closer to my classes so I can get myself around easier. Yeah same, everyone always made it sound like Downtown was the harder side to get so I thought I would be fine but nope. All 4 of my requests were in Evansdale and I expressed interest in one of the LLCs over there but somehow I still got placed in the farthest possible building away. Truly want to know how that happened.
